Waugh was a fine cricketer but hed top my list of commentators that talk absolute dribble, got a gig on his cricketing talents but hes a horrendous caller.

The Test players kind of flooded the team a bit during the back end, which makes it harder for him (and McSweeney) to get a game.

He's a clean hitter. Jury is out on him being a smart cricketer though. You need to be a bit smarter at the top of the order, less so batting at 6 chasing quick runs.

It's one of the unheralded parts of the change to the catching law that really changes the game. Can't just take a wild swing and get your key man back on strike.
