Great viewing last night!

I probably don’t read as much into the editing as some, rightly or wrongly … maybe they just had a lot of great content from tribal and they ran with it? They didn’t even show a reward challenge last night, we were into tribal maybe 25 minutes in?!

Quite the twist at the end, I thought.

George is in a very strong position short term now, and would have a great pitch if he got to the end, but he’d want Jordie and Simon out pre-jury, and to dial it down a bit going forward.

Admittedly those two may be the next two to go as things stand … but I agree with @Ironhawk, one of the first things I thought last night was that tribe swap must be close. They can’t just have all the villains picked off, it’s bad for the show near term, and takes out a lot of good players longer term.

I actually thought Simon would play his "idol" only to find out its not an idol but an idol nullifier, nullify George's idol, George melts down only for the votes to get split like they did and Frazer still go home.
I think the immunity he won with that last minute immunity challenge guaranteed him from not going home, the plan from George was to get Simon to use his other idol to save Stevie and if he didn't , make him look like a bad guy...even though George lied about everyone voting for Stevie and blindsiding / royally shafting Fraser in the process.

Did Sharni really drop that? I’m not sure she did. Also not sure what Paige thinks she’s getting out of it.

Lol gee didn't think it was such a big deal but it ended up being Sharni's demise. Feels like you need to watch every little thing you do or just like that you're out.

Well done to Benji for making a move especially as he knew he was on the chopping block. Preferred Gerry over Sharni to see him go back to working with George with the merge in the next episode. Liked the end result

Poor Sharni though, she just wasn't brutal enough for this game when she criticised how she wouldn't have done it Benji's way. But I guess you need some of these filler players as you can't just have 24 Georges playing lol.

Well that escalated quickly!

Feel a bit sorry for Sharni, but she didn’t show any signs of being a serious player.

Also a bit surprised that those on the bottom aren’t doing anything (other than Benji, who surely goes next?). Gerry called out how it was all working, so it would have been a good opportunity to catalyze a shakeup. Hayley probably wants to keep her head down a fraction longer though, and Nina may be similar. The two girls and Benji are probably the only ones capable of convincing the others on the bottom to come together, but Benji decided to divide them instead.

Yeah it was quite sus that tribal was so early. I was sort of thinking it could have been a double elimination or some other twist.

If you watched the "first season" (2016) After the tribe swap. The teams ended up being 10 - 3 and yeah... that was terrible so I agree with you about just picking off the Villains comment.

Gerry calling out the Heroes pecking order was great to see as he was right due to the awkward silence haha.

I can very easily see the boys squad (from the promo looks like Simon joins them) getting slowly picked off one by one as they are currently outnumbered.

Alliances/voting blocks: (purely my opinion/observations)

Spice Girls
George/Shonee/Liz/Stevie/Jordie/Gerry

Boys club/Alpha males
Shaun/David/Sam
Simon will 100% join these guys

Just outside the boys club but likely to still work with them
Matt/Flick/Paige

High profile targets but need to lay low. (I agree with your assessment on these two which probably puts them on the bottom.) Hayley surely works with George as they have a good relationship on the outside world and due to previous season. However they may cut her due to being a past winner.
Hayley/Nina

On the bottom/Free Agent
Benji on the very bottom. (Could try to work with Flick and the other Hero girls as he gained their trust with the vote tonight (He should jump ship to George as soon as he can or he's a sitting duck)

That spice girls alliance looking like a powerhouse with a majority Villains side.

Come on Jordie, at least you could have given the idol you didn't use back to Liz. :(

Not sure why people hang onto them, rather than helping their allies get revenge. He had zero chance of surviving that revote.
Exactly, I thought he should have handed it back.

I was surprised, and pretty disappointed in Liz, that she took it in the first place.

As an aside, I think idols not being playable on a revote leads to some unfortunate outcomes. They had an okay plan last night, but once it went to a revote, the girls knew that he had no immediate power/protection, and that was the end of it.

I don't understand why he didn't play it, not only would it have saved his skin but if he'd survived and Sam went, then he's lied to everyone about how he was "going to use the idol" and then they would've really been gunning for him. I think he should've just done what he said he was going to do and he'd still be there at least.

Jordie's idea to tell Hayley & Nina was flawed - of course they were going to tell their allegiance about the 2 idols...

Really should of just kept that secret, talked to Shaun/Hayely/Nina/David etc leading into tribal in an effort to save themselves so they wouldn't get anyone suspicious/ looked resigned to going home then produce the idols.

Exactly, then they wouldn't have been able to engineer the split vote thing at the last minute, therefore dooming Jordie in the re-vote

Jordie's plan was a great plan but didn't work in the end. His pitch to the girls was on the right track... but I think how he went about it was definitely flawed. He should have pitched it more of as an alliance going forward and promised them top 4 or whatever (even if he didnt mean it). It looked like more like a threat.

Hayley pretty much did the same thing back in Brain Vs Brawn when she said she would use her idol to save herself of Baden and was actually able to pull it off.

Shaun with the quick thinking saved Sam in the end.

It wasn't as plain and simple as you may think. Need to see it from the other point of view. If Shaun didn't come up with that plan last minute. Sam would have gone home. Jordie and Liz would still be sitting pretty with 2 idols for another tribal council. He was thinking long term which yes was a fault but I believe he had to take the risk.

I still have no idea if they've changed the rule back since Brain vs Brawn. They never should have allowed the passing of idols while votes are being read. Need to try to find out.
