I have it on absolute authority that he was told the direct opposite, it was pitched that he was a required player and was a big reason he chose Geelong in the first place, you dont meet with a bloke you know is on a massive contract if you dont rate them that would be ridiculous list management, good pick thrown in was an absolute bonus for the club.
I just think he fell out with Dew in all honesty, went to a few training sessions earlier in the pre season and was baffled he wasnt playing regular AFL footy and today did nothing to change that opinion, just clean and gets to the right spots.
The fact that hes accepted a totally new role and performed it well is only going to get the coaches on side aswell, Scott loves versatility and players buying in.
