Just on Darcy, I heard him on the radio this morning - he was actually disappointed with his game v Adelaide, felt his ruck positioning v ROB wasn’t good enough a few times so wanted to make amends yesterday. He & his ruck coach do much research on each ruck opponent every week to work out the best way to exploit their weaknesses. The big man certainly sounded prepared & hungry for a big season, I couldn’t be more impressed with his 2 preseason games tbh

After NN failing to play a preseason game I needed an injury prone, high scoring replacement. Darcy has ticked all those boxes.

Gone ahead of English even with Jackson in their side for me. His ceiling at his best is almost unmatched at the ruck position.

Gee, can't split Gawn, Darcy and Marshall after that.

Marshall with the discount and strong game around the ground; Darcy looking hungry in the ruck contests for once; Gawn just does as he pleases: boss the ruck or float around and take marks.

Maybe have to take some points off Darcy assuming Jackson takes 25% of the ruck contests... maybe that's the case made?

Thoughts on Witts being in the mix with the 3 rucks mentioned with him scoring 103 today with only 65% game time? I currently have Witts and Marshall for a couple of reasons. Taking Darcy and Marshall makes the first bye round difficult as they both miss round 12. Also, Witts and Marshall are pretty much full time ruck with no one likely to take much ruck time off them where as Gawn/Grundy and Darcy/Jackson may impact on each others scoring? I must admit I'd like to take Gawn as I think he will end up a R/F so saves trying to get him in later? On pre-season form it's pick 2 out of Gawn/Witts/Darcy/Marshall and hope for the best.
