Glad Gulden went on with it. No Mills (or Papley) so still pretty unclear (although Gulden was great last week with Mills anyway)

Considering he never had more than 24% CBA's in any games last year, I guess he's a pretty scary prospect with the FWD status. No doubt he's going to be in the mid rotation (more than 24%) in Round 1.
Don't think he needs mass cbas to be a genuine option, a decent increase would be enough for him, a bit like Butters in that regard.

The temptation is so strong to split Oliver into Gulden and Bruhn. Thing is, I'd probably least trust Longmire and Geelong to keep them in a lucrative role (Longmire because he's Longmire), and Geelong because they bat so deep and are so good that they can afford to structure how they want and take their time developing.

Yeah that's the scary prospect. If he has 40% CBA's (seems realistic enough) - that could be enough.

Roberts playing Round 1 ($123K mid ) would probably a good indication they plan to use Gulden as they have in both pre-season games (Stephens/McInerney/Roberts rotating through the wings)

Starting Merrett means you can't pick him up for around $500k midseason and having him whilst he goes on an amazing run.
Correcto. Check out Neale's mid season draw and how he likes being tagged. Might be a clever time for a sideways to Merrett. Exactly the sort of unconventional move that can gain you a hundred or more valuable midseason points. And if you get a hunjy to 150 in cash as well, then it's no different to cashing a successful rookie

The trouble with that is finding the $650K as there will always be other problems you need to fix at the time so you end up missing him 😥
It's why you have to leave that 100k spare

Look. Chances are you won't nail every premo and rookie. Add some MPM and you're right. Too much to solve in one week

So you bank yourself half a trade or so (100 k) by not spending it all at the start and it gives you extra choice at round 3 when you've a little more info. You also save a trade.

Takes discipline though. We are all like 10 year olds at the milkbar with a fresh crispy tenner to burn at the start of the year. Gotta learn to not spend it all at once
