If Chesser is not named rnd 1 for whatever reason - a brilliant floating donut to play.
True, although I was looking at $102k priced players. Gilbee looks to be the best option there. Chesser definitely the better play if you're punting on some games down the track. WC play second up in Rd 6, 8 and 9 which is not ideal but no doubt other donuts will emerge in our lists by then

Absolutely we'll need to buy another floating donut by rnd 9!
Round 6, Dogs play first - VC Bont/Macrae
Round 8, Brisbane Carlton play first - VC Dunks, Neale, Cripps
Round 9, is a bit of stretch with Richmond Geelong up first. I hope to have the problem of no new donuts by round 9 #nailingmyrookies.

Gilbee is a popular choice for good reasons if running E-saver at R3. Allows you to optimise many rookies across Def/Mids.

Also just figured I can use the spreadsheet to calculate rookie loopholing potential. E.g Gilbee allows Baker (Dogs) and McKenzie (Hawks) to loophole for the first 6 rounds.

Or can allow Brisbane (couple of options) Carlton (Cowan etc) to loop rounds 1-5 with the popular defence rookies.

Good choice!

Don’t know about anybody else but I’m really liking that with several iterations of my team, a 50/50 call will be made by whether Carlton select one first year player over the other 😆

Also, how good is it that the Blues play the first match of the round for this reason.
Yep, who would of though that Cincotta would be so vital to the preferred structure of many including myself :oops:

I'm gearing up for a big Saturday morning shuffle after seeing what happens in those first 2 games :ROFLMAO:

Probably the main call before then is whether to pay up for Esava at R3 to generate some extra coin. $70k invested on the bench to make maybe $80k in time for DPPs? Borderline useful
