Even with the extra trades, would you (at round 3) trade down from a speculative midpricer in Gulden, to another speculative midpriver from that list?
Yep, as long as it passed the eye test. For example if Gulden is getting no CBA's and parked forward and Bruhn is getting them and scoring well, or if Fyfe is splitting time forward and midfield or if JZgoes back to his high scoring defence. Then yes, without hesitation as that's what we do.

That’s the whole point of a correction trade isn’t it? Use the info you have to jump on the best option available.

Thanks, maybe I'm too conservative or risk averse in my thinking. I'll keep that in mind.

I seriously doubt anyone is risking fielding a $124k or below type on field. Maybe a couple of people are willing to combine some combination of McLean, Ratugolea, Allen, Sheezel duo. Others might have one combined with a Fyfe, Ziebell, Bruhn, Flanders type, but it wouldn't surprise me if a lot of people right now had Flanders at F6; granted, Gulden at F5 is a big step above that, and it's more likely to have a Bruhn or Ziebell at F5 in that structure, but I don't think Gulden F5 is too outlandish either.
No, not starting one but 2 out of Allen, McLean and Sheezel is surely viable? I feel you have to start at least one.
Flanders F6? Dunno, you'd be pretty dark if a cheaper guy turns out to be startable. There's being cautious and then there's being TOO cautious these things. Why would you not run McLean over Flanders at F6?

McLean isn't a lock in their 22, got sub risk about him. Role was terrible.

Well that depends what you read. Al Paton was pretty happy with him and is keen I thought. Could be wrong.
There’s no crystal ball to prove you wrong but if named 1 at $178k, given his past role in the side are you saying you won’t pick him at F6?
Fair enough, if not.

Yeah McLean was talked up a lot after getting a game late last year and most expected he'd be a walk up starter into the best 22 with a few players leaving. I'm not so sure he will be there round 1, I probably wouldn't have him best 22 in fact I probably wouldn't have him on the list at the end of the year.

He's not we all wanted from a Supercoach perspective

Look maybe, but we know that no team ever gets their theoretical best 22 out on the park. They’re always an injury, illness whatever. I don’t think you can judge a pick against some ideal world perfect side that works on paper but will never transpire in real life.
If named R1, what else do we have go on here? He’s in the side to give it a crack. He’s $178k.
Would you pick him?
I get all the nervousness and sure if not named then there’s the answer. But if named …

To be quite honest with you, not everyone is as brave as I am (I have Bruhn F6).

I still have McLean though, but he's in the mids where I can effectively switch him with a bevy of defenders, midfielders and forwards.

Happy to put him on the 2 week watch and assess list.

I dont think they'll pick McLean in all honesty, Baker,Scott and Jones all performed far better on the weekend and there's still Weightman to come back in, screams sub with his versatility and injury history even if he does make the 23.
