Oliver's biggest spikes (170+) came against weaker sides in North & Adelaide. Does he still get those huge spikes if they don't use him so much against those types of sides?
I'm not starting with Oliver because he could get tagged early. Looking at the fixtures, round 1 ok, he plays the Bulldogs - they don't tag. R2-R5. Bris, Syd, WC, Ess all like to tag. If this impacts Oliver scoring he might be a good pick up round 7ish (play the kangaroos). Then again we don't know yet if the new coach at North Melbourne likes to tag.

Laird is firming over Oliver.

Melbournes game style has change this year, thats what i percieved from the Tigers Game. Got me to thinking if could effect Oliver by 10pts per game.
Wall of worry builds as usual pre season starting.

Melb, Adelaide and GC all have had articles saying more player running through. They all have a core of 3-4 and adding 2 more in.

I dont think Oliver starts back but drifts back in a game maybe to run the ball out, they clearly have an issue between Hibberd and Mcvee.

Think I will wait until Salem is back before I bring in Oliver. Between him a Touk as first upgrade.

Not sure about Allan, think the Pies consider him a longer term prospect? Richards definitely a possibility.
Ed Allen will get a start relatively early in the season.
Richards appears on the outer for now.
Reef McInnes will be in the starting line up for Rd 1. Was training in the stronger team on Monday.

Does Mcinnes go straight out when Ginnivan returns?

What kind of player is Allen?
McInnes has done OK in the practice matches but may make way when Ginnivan returns.
I'd think WHE, who's been moved to half back at training this season, may be first to make way though.

Allen is a 193cm rangy wingman type. Very quick (lead the combine in 20m sprint times), reasonable endurance and a pretty good user of the ball.
