Is everyone prepared for a scenario where both McKenna and Wilmot don't get selected - I'm not!
I have had that scenario in the back of my mind since the start of preseason. Which is why I only ever included McKenna in the backline. As the most expensive you can drop down or push up to someone like Goater. Which is also why I held cash back. Still as mentioned we get to see the other rookie options and have Friday to consider the different scenarios.

I remember Dean Terlich from Demons was a star rookie back in 2013. I’m fairly sure the winner from that year (John Bruyn, Dimmawits) had him for majority of the season. Missed 1st game and then took his opportunity from 2nd game onwards. It’s a marathon, not a sprint.
Could put Palmer in the same category
For the ones who do play round 2-3 there are many more who don’t play at all or come in after their bubble and are perfect downgrade targets.

Only really works if they can be used as your only donut early

I was assuming he'd be out (he wasn't in my Freo best 22 or SC) but if it's clicked for Sturt he's ahead of a few on talent. I think there's a spot with Walter returning but it's tight.
His chances of retaining a permanent spot would depend on the numbers he can pull while walters spot is open of course

I've not seen much of Samson Ryan but he's listed as a 96kg, 206cm 22yo. That's massive.

Is he a more of a 'drop it on his head', lumbering, CCJ type or a more mobile Luke Jackson type? Capable of kicking a bag?

Trying to work out if Ryan/Sav/Madden and Jackson would get me two decent scores each week from three of them and a lot of DPP flexibility.

He's a decent mover, not sure he's the aerobic Jackson model but he's no CCJ.
Has done his time rucking in VFL & can clunk it. Wouldn't expect 4 or 5 goals though.
Tiges say Soldo is out so it's either Ryan or Miller pinch hitting in Rd 1.
