I may be old fashioned, but I'm not buying the Oliver not being in the midfield nonsense.

I'm buying it. I can see him spending 5-8 mins there in at least 3 or 4 games this season!

Lets just hope the Melb games are all tight and close late into the last!

mitchell is the safer pick, but i feel jords could be in for a big season, he could go 110+ imo skys the limit for him if he can pull it all together.

115+ is not out of his reach if he can stay fit and tidy up his goal kicking a little.

In regards to Tom Green, what percentage of premos would we estimate have a true breakout in their 4th year? Ie 110+ avg
Gut feel says about 15% and the other 85% breakout in their 5th year.

Miller had a slight leg issue but will play round 1. Oliver is fine, there's talk that he will spend time half back like he did in the preseason games. I am sure as soon as the game is on the line he will be back in the centre.

Pretty sure when Champion Data used to do the Prospectus they worked out the most likely breakout for most players was actually in their 7th year.
Obviously top notch players would probably star earlier. There will always be exceptions.
Used to love flicking through the Prospectus ,wish they still printed it.

Sad to be dropping my boy so late, but it feels likely Oliver will need to be downgraded for me to a Steele type for rookie funds.

Gets McKenna up to Jones and Chesser to Hollands.

Why does it seem like everyone is prioritising Tom Green over Coniglio? I see Tom Green in almost every single team and many without Coniglio.

Both have a midfield role and are priced similarly, but at least Cogs has proven premium scoring history and can be selected in the forward line.

Am I missing something?

I’ve got both. I think Green outscores Cogs by a fair margin. Cogs costs more and jeeze these rookies aren’t cheap.

There’s an interview somewhere with a quote saying cogs will still split some time forward.

Cogs is a good player, but Green is a pretty special talent. Best player in his draft year in a year full of special talents according to a few.

Green’s body size should allow him to do the Oliver, Cripps at their best scoring…I genuinely like a number of the kicks he makes… massive upside because of players departing and increase in fitness.

Much prefer Cogs personally, doesn't need to do much to become a top 6 forward.

Very hard time seeing Green go 115+, but if he bumped his average to 105, at least he is still a little value.

Think it's one of those you just have to avoid Green if you don't see the 110+ upside realistically, even if he's very popular.
