Looking forward to the season ahead and feeling fairly confident in my team at the moment. Good luck to everyone, hopefully we can have some people in contention for overall again this season , always fun to cheer on one of our own.
And just like that the Yeo news dropped and put a spanner in the works.

Now having attended Hogwarts and getting my degree in Slytherin Language Interpretation (Sli for short) and got my major in Ross Lying subdialect, let my decipher what Ross really means.

Campbell/Marshall. Well it really means Tom is just going to keep on running into Darcy in the ruck contests to make as much contact as possible until he knocks himself unconscious. Our on ballers have been practicing ruck sharking sims all week and we have no intention of getting Marshall hurt.

Membrey. He will be out for 8 weeks minimum but for some reasons (other than just being a ****) I don’t want to tell you that.

Windhager. Put a line through him. He was never going to play and will be a late out. “Expected to train” and “ be available for selection” are standard Slytherin for “maybe the opposition will actually believe me and be deceived” which is total BS and no one believes that. Here is how the after game presser will go:

Journo When did you make the decision on Windhager?”

RL I didn’t make the decision. I did not know anything about it. I just turned up in the rooms and I was told he did not come up and that was the first I knew about it. I don’t see or speak to the players on match day until they turn up in the rooms. Some times I don’t even speak to the players during the week. I’m only speaking to you because I have to -alright?

Journo Will he play next week.

RL I don’t know. I’m not a doctor. Why would you ask me that? You would need to talk to the medical people. I don’t know anything about it. Are you a doctor? Maybe we should be asking you. You seem to know more about it than anyone else in this room.

Caminiti and the Pou. Look I really hate playing rookies okay. But since I have taken over as head of performance and conditioning and started using the program that I learned at the Dockers, everyone of these soft buggers has broken down. So, I will have to play them. Really I thought they might be ready maybe round 21 or 22. Oh I mean next year not this year too

Yes Hunter for m
Possibly depends on if Yeo was previously D2 or D3 (assuming most were in one of these camps).

Suspect the D2 camp now need to find another premium whilst the D3 camp is possibly a harder call around JS importance.

I might just plonk Clark at D3 for now.
Yes my first reaction is Hunter but I’m getting too heavy in Saints. Thoughts are will he make cash in the meantime?

My guess is those that had him at D2 will go up to a premium and those at D3 will downgrade to rookie or similar priced player and we'll all end up with more similar backline structures.

Well that was a fun 2 months of planning with Yeo 😀

Fortunately we know now.

Yeo down to the next rookie on the line , not sure 1-0-7 will hold up to start with though (hopefully they are all actually named)

4 premium mids + Green might be too heavy to start 🤔

Will just lock in my Carlton (Docherty, Cowan , Hollands) & Richmond (Hopper & Taranto) players and see what the next lot of team announcements bring

Question on emergencies
If I have two emergencies on the fwd line bench, do I get the higher or lower score if there is a donut on field?

Using Madden as VC loop, if I need to take his score he will go to F6. Was then going to put the e on both f7 and f8 but that’s only if I get the higher score. Otherwise I’m going to have to take a guess.

If I’m not using the VC score then I can put the e on F7 and either put madden in f6 if I’m taking it, or put f8 on to the field if my f7 scores poorly.

It's always the lower score.

Looks completely out of balance , could lose half my defender rookies by Round 3 or 4.

Back to Plan B.

First thoughts are Yeo down to Liam Jones to strengthen the forward line with Flanders at F6.

Jones at D3 scares the bejesus out of me though..
*Looks around

Definitely not sitting here with Jones at D1 right now.

Where are we setting the over/under on ruck contests Cripps attends tomorrow night?
Gut said 1, as long as Silvagni is fit, he's the sacrificial lamb.

What about those who had him at D1.

Asking for a friend.
