I'd argue Dunkley won't be any cheaper this season if fit. He's the 2nd most owned player and highest premium owned player in the league, he's a C/VC option, he's in a team that is a real flag contender, he'll be getting season high CBA numbers - I just think there's so many reasons to start him but very few if any to not start him.
Just to add to this, even if Dunkley somehow is a bust, it is pretty much inconsequential given the sheer volume of his ownership. Everyone would just trade him out, or potentially there's an advantage in being adept enough to know who to move him if need be.

But if he fires exactly as he should, anyone not taking him is putting themselves behind the 8-ball against effectively the entire competition. It's riskier not to own him than it is to own him. Because if he works out, you now have yourself a negative POD against 70% of teams and probably closer to 99% of relevant teams.

Further to this, those who tend to fade a Dunkley type lock will also make a bunch of other, let's call them, silly selections that more than cancel it out so those without Dunkley wont even be basking in the glory if he does bust.

The Yeo and Bowes news does put the cat amongst the pigeons.
If you had Yeo at D2 (not advocating, but some seemed to), I guess you would have to look at Hunter Clark or go up. Not fun.
If you had him D3, you could look to shift the funds to strengthen your FWD / MID line, I guess.
Interesting one.

Settled on GnR structure after the Yeo news. Gulden is probably the only gun that doesn't have high-scoring history, but plenty of bail out options if needed.
Risky down back, but Gillbee will be handy for looping off the bench.
Would appreciate any thoughts in case I've missed something obvious.

Been toying with 13 premiums myself after the Yeo news earlier today. Nice looking team

My attempt at 13 premiums:

Stewart, Ridley, Daicos, Ginbey, McKenna, Constable (Wilmot, Cowan)

Bont, Steele, Jelly, Green, Hopper, Ashcroft, Mackenzie, Phillips (Baker, Chesser, Davey)

Darcy, Marshall (Rat)

Dunkley, Rozee, Taranto, Errol, Bruhn, Sheezel (Greene, Madden)

22k and I kinda love it.

I think you need to make better use of the funds tied up in Day, Flanders and Setterfieild. Or 2 of. Like setterfield to Phillips and then Day up.
What’s the attraction with Day anyway?
With the injury to Yeo, I needed to find another mid pricer. Day is said to be playing a midfield role this season at the Hawks. 52% CBA against the Pies for a SC score of 88 with only 68% TOG

Took some of @Under The Dome's suggestions and have my second draft. I have under $100K in the bank ($81,800) though and from what I understand, the more you have leftover, the better.
Move JHF down to the FWD Line for Dusty bring Hopper/Worpel into the MIDS. Upgrade R2.

Shouldnt mess with your RK Line.

F4, i like, think he has a good year.

Good Luck

Yeo sideways to Clark (D2)
Or
Yeo, Gulden, Callaghan to Dawson (D2), Fyfe (F4), Chesser/similar (M bench - bringing Phillips on field)

Option 1 I get to keep the team I've been happy with for almost a week but Clark definitely feels like more of a downgrade than a sideways, and running him at D2 seems a little crazy. Option 2 means a restructure and hoping Fyfe can stay on field and pump out some good scores with their nice early run. Also the Gulden FOMO will be real if he starts hot haha.

I ended up with almost this exact team as well as one of my Yeo options, some slight tweaks here or there.

The thing I'm hesitant on is that there's not much room to move on bench rookies. If guys like McLean/Hollands/Bytel come out and score 60+ (not unreasonable) they are going to be great rookies and you'll have to be content with skipping that cash gen.

I keep needing a ~$400k forward or defender that I like and can't really find one (Cunnington would be closest but he's a no for me).

Anyone jump out? It's such a nothing price point

Could be a meh pick can you restructure him up our down?
Hawthorn have to replace O'Meara and Mitchell in the midfield, so I don't think it is a meh pick. It is a POD for me. I've looked at downgrading him to a Chesser, then upgrading a Setterfield, but there isn't anyone in the mids other than Kelly or Steele that I can afford that I don't have, and I am not really keen on having 2 GWS mids or Steele.
