Tbf the afl don't care about fantasy. Take away that and what is wrong with bringing on fresh legs?

I never said the AFL gives a about fantasy. They don't and would not expect them to. The point was the AFL around with the rules (again!) and as a by product we get a potential SC issue. Perhaps the easiest way home is to go full NFL. Entire squad is available. No need to worry about teams dropping Thursdays etc.

Really worried for Carlton. Only round 1, but our skills and decision making have not improved at all from last year. We could easily have lost by 30-40 points tonight. Hopefully its just early jitters. Also, glad I didn't take Hopper. Looked like they preferred others in the centre bounces after half time, which doesn't bode well.

Just like most. Pretty happy with it. Just hoping that was just one of Hopper's bad games. Cowan being subbed off was unfortunate but luckily on the bench.

Shai Bolton kicked 1.1 for the game off 3x shots with his first shot a goal in the 2nd quarter.

His 2nd shot he put out on the full from a hard angle from 40m out in the last qtr where he switched up from a straight set on goal to a checkside in the last few steps of his action. Bizarre.

His registered point was a set shot banana from basically straight in front, 35m out, where he hit the belly of the ball and just floated through a behind. Easy set shot goal for any forward going hips & shoulders square to goal.

He kicks 2x drop punts & Richmond win. I know it’s round 1, but he should be held accountable & the media coverage are analysing everything else, most noticeably the Carlton bloke’s dropped mark late, bar Bolton’s basic set shots.

I've got Cumming and with downgrading Yeo have enough cash to upgrade him to a Dawson or Stewart but will stick with him as I like his potential, and as a POD

At least with Hopper there are options if you don't like what you see over the first couple of weeks. Don't need much ITB to go to whichever of Setterfield, Ash, JHF has gone big early.

Have mixed feelings about no Taranto as a non owner. Not fussed about his score tonight, but just worried me how much of the footy he got. I know he’s a turnover king but can definitely see some big scores

But the media love a flashy player. Gives them something to talk about. As soon as he took that big mark it was a love fest. He does have a ton of ability to be fair but some games he does go MIA. Needs to be consistently good not when he feels like it.

Actually liked the look of Hollands, albeit only scoring a 50, runs all day and was open numerous time but burnt by his teammates. Can def see some scores in the 70-80 range in the future.

Totally agree. Saw him free a few times and they did not make use of him.
