I wanted to go early on a rookie and thought Phillips was the safest option, but he's sub at best.

Now I will probably need to squeeze 7 midpricers & rookies into 3 trades next week.

Maybe Toby Mclean is an option as an alternative?

Looking at the emergencies :-

EMG: Khamis, McComb, McNeil, Sweet

Only Khamis could possibly come in to replace him as a tall key position player & he was playing as a fwd last year, they could swing Darcy back if required.

It's possible, they did say (a couple days ago to be fair) that they're giving him till Friday so wouldn't be surprising if it happened.

Emerg lists can be interesting indicators can’t they. Looking at the teams you can see the preferred back up ruck where the named side has no clear ruck should the R1 get injured pre game. Eg Teakle for Power, possibly Thilthorpe for the Crows, Sweet for WB etc. Also Windhager. He is either fit or he is not. If named Emerg then he is fit but clearly not best 22 so a query about JS there.
