Most positive thing you can say is the test is a lot less reliable for those who've done them as whether it's the same knee (not in this case) or the comparison the previous injury does make it a bit less reliable.
That there was little pain is a really bad sign, having done a couple the ACL itself is pretty painless, it hurts like hell when you take other ligaments with it.
All the body language says they think it's an ACL and are just hoping it's not.
