Strategy 2023: Round 3 Trades

My first trade was a disaster! Cunnington to Callaghan. I was deciding between Callaghan, Ziebell, Setterfield and Worpel. Bad choice and it impacts my trades this week. Steele to Setterfield is happening. Chesser to Callaghan is happening. I'm confused by the Darcy. He actually has a higher number of cbas than last year. Dont know what happened to young. Apparently got a knock but more importantly no kick ins. N daicos and T English are looking ridiculously good. (Especially daicos - he was ridiculous) It can't last!?

Steele to Setterfield is logical
Chesser to Chandler obvious too?

Then will ruminate on a luxury trade, baker/Allen to LDU or Ziebell.
or Darcy to English.

I also want Hollands but can’t see it happening.

Fyfe to chandler locked
Next trade is probably Jones to a to-be-identified D3, needs to be a keeper or near enough. Luke Ryan has good keeper history but not sure if his current scoring is sustainable. Struggling to make a case for cox despite his first 2 weeks. Redman the other I'm considering.
The final trade funds the second trade. Probably Darcy to Darcy. I don't think the second Darcy is a keeper, but it at least gives me some sustainable scoring until gawn comes back and/or English goes through his regular injury patch, following which I can then trade again.
I'll skip LDU, as much as I don't want to, feels very harsh to trade Neale given he's averaging nearly the same as laird - he'll still be top 8 come end of season IMO.

Now just playing with the boost. Options thinking atm -
Darcy - English (14k left over)
Darcy - Cameron (129k Odd leftover)
Cheeser or green to - Chandler

Not sure if short changing myself of cash gen. (Green, davey, chesser all on bench atm)

Bruhn to Setterfield (but keeping an eye out on reports of his quad injury, it might just be precautionary from leather poisoning) or Ziebell

Chesser to possibly Noah Long

Fyfe and Steele have to go. Probably Ziebell and LDU or Setterfield in (depending on how much risk I want).

Then it's either Darcy out for Cameron/English or Chesser out for Chandler/Long/Caminiti. The latter feels like more of a justifiable correction trade and I'll keep rolling with the Darcy train and see how it goes (to hell).

Plan:

Fyfe-> Cameron (opens R/F link with Ratagolea)
Flanders-> Setterfield
Goater -> Chandler
make it by 11k....if there are other issues can keep Goater and trade Chesser (for eg) and take Ziebell over Cameron....

One of only (ha!) flaws in SC is that I treat my premo's as some form of untouchable. Doc and Darcy are not in the firing line at all, unless say they are out/injured. My thinking is always that if I can add Daicos and keep Doc, I'd rather do that than go sideways (even if its' uphill).

Probably leaves me stuck with stinkers, but it is what it is.

Just realised I can go Ridley, Chesser, and Allan for Daicos, Setterfield, and Chandler. The only issue with this, is it forces Mackenzie to the bench which isn't ideal. Alternatively, if Callaghan doesn't get up, ill flick him for Setters instead of Allan

Think I am willing to hold Darcy, as tempting as it is to trade him, however, if Setters misses a week then Darcy to Darcy Cameron is likely.

Is it not wise to skip Pou?

Looking at Bytel & McLean to Ziebell & Chandler as have 144k in the Bank.
Could also straight swap a (Neale/Brayshaw) to LDU and trade out Chesser instead of Bytel, but not convinced its the right play.

Straight swapped Stewart to Daicos last week so no real pressing issues, touch wood.

Have to miss on one or two of Ziebell, LDU, Daicos at the moment. Prioritising cash gen probably the smart call in Chandler.

Macrae, Darcy, Doc, Goater, Chesser the guys in the firing line.

Have no other pressing concerns but think Ziebell + LDU will need to come in shortly.

First trades for the year, can do this with $500 to spare (when does that ever happen?!). Had Cameron and LDU in my team all pre-season so hurts a bit getting them in now but feels worth it to sort out F6.
