Anyone else looking to bring in Noah Long this week on the bubble, I missed Holland, have a spare trade this week and thinking about Constable to Long to bring in an extra player to make some cash.
Thought on his JS? Can he make 130k+ and make a decent cash cow or not worth it?
Yes, he can make $130K. He has a big game in him somewhere along the line. He is probably the one most have missed, and DPP doesn't hurt.
I think his JS is pretty good. We are very short on small fowards after Rioli left, and the club absolutely loves him and the pressure and energy he brings.
He won't be a high ball getter... but he will bring pressure, tackles and a few goals. Has scored well in the first few weeks. DPP is a bonus too.
I've had him from the start.
No pressure on the lad, but I've got him on-field covering for LDU.
He's scored 62 & 63 so far and with a BE of -59 looks to be able to make $150k+.
(insert normal rookie caveat)
JS looks reasonable when considering injury list, no obvious replacement.
Risk may be Yeo into the side, does this push a midfielder forward.
Only caveats:
Simmo did suggest these young players are not always going to keep getting games. Felt this was Chesser directed.
Eagles have played North and a depleted GWS. Not the toughest run.
Endurance is not his strong point, TOG 71%. Being a small player it doesn't look like he is who gets subbed, but low to some risk maybe.
Post Freo, Eagles draw gets hard with Melb, Geelong, Port, Carlton and Richmond. Ok, maybe Port is not that hard anymore!
Small forward, in a side that has only had one good quarter this year, this concerns me a little.
I didn't start him or Chesser as I had concerns over Chesser scoring power and Long endurance. In favour of Long, despite being a small player, he was known for his inside work, I like that at least in a small forward.
To be fair I probably underestimated Long and Davey type picks.
