Is there any merit in trading Mackenzie instead of Worpel? Both are on-field for me and I want to bring Hopper in.

I know Worpel just scored 45, but he was still the 3rd Hawks mid in the CBAs with 57% this week (a drop from 77% in Round 1 though) and Mackenzie only had 17%. Do we just put it down to an off-game from Worpel? How sustainable is Mackenzie's scoring?

Mackenzie likely still has ~130K to make, but Worpel can make another 100K if he can get back to 95+ scoring.

Is it worth backing in the more experienced mid at the expense of (potentially) less cash generation?
Crazy to be considering trading MacKenzie who is doing great over Worpel whos cbas have dropped after R1 for R2 & 3.
It might be worth giving Worpel another week yet, but I see no logical reason you would trade a rookie who is scoring well ahead of a mid-pricer who is currently failing!

Edited for accuracy.

First trades last week saw a jump in my overall rank. 3 trades down weren't initially what was planned with outs and rookie scores.

I have to solve the ruck problem I created after trading Darcy to Cameron. Callaghan also need to be replaced by I.C. Rod. Constable and Chesser both out are pushing the limit for donuts but one in the mids and backs means I can hold still.

Cameron options -
1. Single trade to anyone except English (have Witts) - Grundy and Marshall the 2 highest on the list.
2. Callaghan down to Philips/Bytel/other and Cameron to English

I could also look at some of the mid-pricers (Bowes, Buckley, Crozier) for Callaghan.

Current thought is
Cameron to Grundy
Callaghan to Phillips
Bank after $175K.

Boost would be Chesser to Rowston but unlikely.

I'm looking at something like;

Callaghan > Rowston
Hayden Young > Lachie Neale.

Callaghan has to go. I like hayden young but freo don't use him as a quarterback. Rowston and Neale have good cbas.

I assume you are talking about Jai Newcombe? I believe he received a fine only/no suspension. Or has he picked up an injury that I am not aware of?

What's everyone doing if Phillips is not selected or starts as the sub?
Not even looking at him TBH (that might change if he's named ), although I don't have Callaghan to deal with. There's going to be a few rookies on the bubble next week, Van Rooyen, Brockman and Bytel if named. Fahey could come in too and be available the week after. Kossie Pickett is also a consideration.

Logical thing to me is hold Callaghan for a week and jump on one of the aforementioned rookies if Phillips isn't named. Or go early.

Gonna be some tough decisions about who to bring in though, I'll probably have Chesser and Pou to trade out.

I can see a bit of chat on Bowes so far, and I get it given he was fancied in pre-season, but it was called in round 2 (I think by @Wheedus) that he was playing the Stewart role, and his scoring looks to have dropped as soon as Stewart came back in. What makes people bullish on him?

Thought he was out for a week, I was wrong.
Even less reason to keep Worpel hoping for an uptick in cbas.

Early thoughts. DC to English (or Grundy +
Tylar Young, 102k def rookie. What's his JS like? Is he specifically playing because of injuries to other Richmond players?
I know the club like Young but his Js is definitely shaky. Gibcus hammy & Tarrrant being out inj has given him the opportunity. He is mature age so that's in his favour.

Tarrrant came back from his inj in the VFL last week & is closing in on a return, Miller is also thereabouts as a replacement also.

Yeah, but I guarantee he got more midfield minutes and tog as a result of LDU being out
Not sure Philips can play anywhere but the middle, if he plays should be in the midfield rotation. Can’t find where to look but his CBA in round 1 would be interesting with their full midfield available and that score was also sub affected.

So torn on English v Nank.

English has the best ceiling of any player in the comp IMO. He’s surprised me with how consistent he’s been so far this year and it’s a bit scary to think what he’s going to do against lesser rucks after he’s gone 130’s against Gawn/Grundy, Marshall, and McInerney/Fort. Downside is obviously his durability.

Nank has been one of the best rucks for years now, but never in the top 3-4 to make him too viable. He’s gone 112, 118 and 124 to start the year against De Koning, ROB and DCam. So not the greatest opposition but good scores none the less. What makes me interested is what’s at his feet. Richmond have always had a below average midfield during his time, but the recruitments of Taranto and Hopper should increase his HTA ratio by heaps. He’s also got good injury history for a ruck (pretty important these days)

Going Nank gives me and extra 65k and I’m confident he scores at 105-110 or even higher this year, but the ceiling of English and the masses jumping on him make him a very risky anti-POD.

Had 74% CBA round 3 and only 32% CBA round 1. His tog split was also 53/76 % which tells the story

I have callaghan and downgrading him to phillips/rowston, see whos named both had good cba. Perryman a month away so rowston should hold his spot to then and hopefully make some good coin. I think his the better option out of the 2.
