I'm completely stuck on what to do. I have only have $34k ITB pre-trades.

DCam > English
Callaghan > McVee/Phillips/Rowston/Bytel

I'm $4k shy of Noah Long.

I'm also considering dumping Neale, DCam and Callaghan and bringing in English/Witts and a solid MID.

Grundy route might be my only shot at saving a boost..
If you take Grundy instead of English, there's a good chance English will be already out injured by the time Gawn gets back and Grundy has already reached premium ruck price. Can't see Grundy not scoring super well whilst Gawn is out.
Then you could go Callaghan to someone worth keeping, rather than some also ran...although I think Bytel is a good player waiting to happen, just needs a good run.

Crazy to be considering trading MacKenzie who is doing great over Worpel whos cbas have dropped after R1 for R2 & 3.
It might be worth giving Worpel another week yet, but I see no logical reason you would trade a rookie who is scoring well ahead of a mid-pricer who is currently failing!

Edited for accuracy.
Thanks for the response.

I am just concerned Mackenzie tires as a first year player in a poor team with a role that involves minimal CBAs, whilst there may be a chance Worpel's midfield time only increases as the kids tire.

I'm basically just looking for an edge in my team and pondering whether Worpel can outscore Mackenzie at M8 over the next 4-5 weeks. Understand its a leftfield suggestion and it would be ideal to keep Mackenzie, but 1 of them needs to go for Hopper.

If no great trade in option then Young is a hold isn't he? No-one else around his price is screaming 'pick me' (already have Daicos).
Ed Richards may be a better option, @$470k comes up against Richmond, Port, Freo, Hawks and them Giants.
Looks a fair run for him to makes some coin and score points?

The Bytel and Phillips options both looked good to me. I suggested the latter for our combined team.

Not sure Worpels a good enough footballer to only attend half the centre bounces, if there was a clear downgrade I'd probably be trading.

Not sure Philips can play anywhere but the middle, if he plays should be in the midfield rotation. Can’t find where to look but his CBA in round 1 would be interesting with their full midfield available and that score was also sub affected.
Had 74% CBA round 3 and only 32% CBA round 1. His tog split was also 53/76 % which tells the story

Remember he wasn’t subbed on until the second quarter which effected those %
Rd 1 LDU and Simpkin @80% and looks like they are building Cunnington up as well, though that also could because of the other outs, stiil not sure about Phillips JS tbh.

Not sure what to do really just know Im not going to stuff around with a Grundy stop gap, probably has to be Worpel down to Phillips or Bytel to free up Cameron to English.

Yeah Worpel is a weak link not excluding your D bench, which Ive seen a few others going with this week!
Im not sure on Phillips JS with most likely Simpkin and LDU back this week. you have good coverage in the mids, but no loop for M/D.
J McVee even after 1 price rise might still be worth a look with Salem out and will be for while yet.

Is it worth using a trade to go Ridley to Stewart?
BE of 174 id be backing him in too not back up on last weeks score. Which he would need to do to not lose $$$
And then you have another week of data and hopefully a little cheaper.
Also remember talk in PS about him not having many early games in Geelong which he plays well.

Has to be Worpel out I think, Ridley is the only other pressing issue but If I'm trading him its surely up to Sicily/Stewart etc not down to a bit of a nothing pick, Day would appeal if he was 100k cheaper.

Think Phillips or Bytel or even Rowston going to the bench isnt the worst scenario, would let me field Chandler with a good draw for the next few weeks aswell which is handy.

English and Bytel/Phillips in that order would be my pick.

Why is Bytel so popular?
I started him and obviously he was unlucky with the knee cut, but he was a fringe gamble in Rd 1, even with the injuries didn't come back in last week and is no guarantee to be recalled this week as far as I can tell. Feel a bit out of step.
When your midfield is beaten (granted they still won the game) and a guy has 35 and kicks 2 in the VFL they've got to be a good chance, hes a good enough player to cement his spot for long enough if he gets the opportunity.

Also I would consider Worpel to Rowston rather than to Phillips
