I don't know what has happened but my last two weeks have been worse than poor. Failed to crack 1990 last week PLUS traded in Cameron so have to remedy that

Might use my first boost, too.

Cameron -> Gulden
Bruce -> Rachele

Don't know whether to trade down x 2 this week, or complete a 1 down, 1 up approach

Callaghan > Rowston
JHF > LDU
$15.3k left

Callaghan > Rowston
JHF > Amartey
$349k
The plan of this trade is to downgrade Greene to Brockman/Van Rooyen next week and upgrade Jones to Oliver

Get the points this week with LDU, or get Oliver next week and build up some more cash from bubble players

I don't think Callaghan to Rowsten benefits you much, except money, Jhf is interesting because he shows complete dominance and brilliance at times, other times, he seems disinterested. Maybe he just needs a kick in the ass from someone saying, "stop sulking or whatever the hell you're doing during a game when you're not involved" I think he'll end up being a fantastic player but his attention seems to waiver.
I guess if you think JHF is a fail, by all means trade him to LDU, a lot of these decisions are only clear in hindsight.

Could you post your whole team so others could advise? Maybe Bruce to someone more definitive than Rachelle could be an option? You need extra points onfield so you need to make a few bold moves.

You are right about JHF being a SC enigma. Port have a pretty strong midfield and at 19 he already looks like the best of them, especially in terms of clearances and hitting targets in the 50, but he is brilliant in moments and then seems to fade out at others. I personally think it is more to do with the tactics and rotations at Port, as he looks like one of those players who genuinely hates to lose. I brought him in after being so impressed at the game v Brisbane where he picked the team up by the scruff of the neck in the 3rd quarter and dragged them to victory. I've still got him, but every week I'm torn between 'this could be the week he goes huge' and 'I could use him to get LDU/N Daicos types'. I have no doubt that he will become a SC stud, and he's already a personal favourite, but it might be a year or two too early. Either way, I think I'll keep him again this week and hope he goes huge.

If you could post your whole team that would be good. It's very possible to turn things around even if it takes a bit longer depending on your team. I think there's probably better options than Rachele, he's in a good patch right now but he can easily be someone who scores 50s and 60s.

Edit-sorry was writing my post before I saw you post again, will reply in next post

It's hard to know with these kinds of players, I picked Dangerfield 3 years in a row in SC hoping he'd break out but it was the fourth year when I'd given up on him, that he became a SC stud lol

I think he'll be fine, at least once they get a new coach. Apparently Kochie has backed Hinkley in "until April". I think either Tom forgot what month it is, or he's gone very soon... (starts about half way through this clip).

Ha. So true. A mate did the same with Taranto a few years in a row, but I think you have to take some risks and try to pick the breakout prospects to get a leg up. Breakouts can also occur mid season and JHF's age and interrupted pre-season probably mean he's still building his tank. I don't know, but that is part of the frustration as well as the challenge.

Gladly. This is my untouched side from the end of R3 View attachment 55157
I'll be honest and hopefully not offensive to you mate but your midfield is weak, and the reason you're struggling to crack 2000 is because you don't have enough good scoring midfielders. I would be targeting strong Captain choices because you don't have many at the moment.
Don't know how much money you have because you didn't show it but I'd even consider Petracca to Oliver as a solid C choice. Anderson looks like a fail too so will need to be moved on at some point.
Hope I'm not being too brutally honest with you, I'm only trying to help.

LOL. Thanks for the link, I hadn't seen that that. I agree, he will be fine, particularly under a new coach. I could easily Hinkley bash, as I don't rate him at all tactically, but I'll leave that to the Port Big Footy forum which is often quite toxic in its vitriol. I did find long-standing Hinkley apologist Koch's 'it's only been three weeks' quite funny, when its actually been over a decade with the same issues. I just hope he didn't mean April next year, and actually meant May!

Nah mate, any feedback is good feedback. Appreciate it.

At the moment, I have $178,100 in the bank

Using a boost Fletch, I think you can go:
Anderson > Oliver
Cameron > Gulden
Bruce > Bytel (bring JHF back to the FWDs) or Caminiti

You certainly can go
Anderson > Laird
Cameron > Gulden
Bruce > other desirable rookie (Baker; Caminiti; Wilmot)

Oliver over Laird would be the consenus at present.

It might be possible to get both Laird and LDU (as Herbie mentioned above) rather than Gulden with JHF back to the FWDs.

NB: Figures done in head, and not quite sober.

Agree, but the risk is huge! I am so torn about whether to trade him or give him another chance. His BE is so high and I think LDU is less riskier and more consistent for the value he can return compared to JHF.
