Yeah I definitely see your side of the argument no doubt, if you’re in the hunt even more so. I’m leaning more towards we e seen his down games, time to enjoy the up games.
The up games are coming….. right?
Out . Upgrade him. He doesn't seem to be able to get a big score and won't be a top 8 mid.
Watch on Yeo today, and might go Jones to Yeo which would effectively reverse the trade I made 2 days prior to season start.
My 2 cent on Doch. I have him and will keep him, lost to much coin now to trade. DT 100 and normally has a positive SC ratio so getting the ball.
Not sure if Walsh back helps or hinders him tbh he scored almost all his points last week in the midfield, but historically he scores well at half back. Saad has become more attacking now they trust Newman to take the fast mid/small but that could change if one gets off the leash.
If I didn’t have him would watch the next few weeks and if any sign of improvement trade in as soon as possible.
I think Jones is fine. Just unlucky to have Keath go down and have to be more accountable yesterday.
Haha had a rough start to the year as well?
I’ve wasted a lot of trades and boosts to get it looking like that and unfortunately have missed the early scores from some of the early bolters (Daicos, English for eg.)
Jones always plays accountable first, on probably the best forward. His strength is he reads the play well and with his pace can take intercept marks. His weakness everything else.
I'll admit to being more frustrated than I should be over a silly game.
But I think it was Jason Statham in one of his movies that talked about a monkey sitting on his leg with a tiny little hammer constantly tapping on his balls. If it wasn't Jason Statham then it should have been. Anyway, it's how I feel lately whenever I load my team and the first thing I see is Doch up there in D1.
Probably could spend less time looking at my team lol
Don’t worry he will look better at D3 next week. And maybe D6 at season end.
Some entertaining discussions on Doc.
Like IDIG said, none of us look alone having made so many trades for what feels little gain. Bad enough starting Bruhn, Fyfe (not to mention Stewart Gawn DC injuries) etc, then having Worpel and Amartey come in to disappoint after initial two good games is pretty heart wrenching.
Whilst hesitant to trade Doc, Dawson and potentially Stewart plus Daicos look to have the high ceilings and roles. Dawson may get some attention next week from Cerra (or do they keep going Laird), however, Doc's role look uncertain and mixed. His his possession quarters have been when in mids, he just hasn't used the ball well. Does Walsh back impact this? maybe, maybe not, depends if he goes mids or wing.
The game has been frustrating and lack of quality cheap rookies coming through are hampering efforts to reset. JVR 50 points and looking a shadow off last week with McDonald back in the side. Is he now at risk when BB back.
Brockman hopes remain high, small forward in a Hawthorn side doesn't feel inspiring, yet he is a 3rd year player and playing for a lot on the personal side.
The port rookie Dylan Williams is a bit of unknown, inconsistent talent.
Jones was on the chopping block although comments here do suggest we should temper our itchy trade fingers.
For me, this week may see Doc, Amarety and Worpel go for Dawson, a rookie and either Stewart or Gulden.
is Tyler Young an option, better game with a 61 points, will likely be just under $140k. Does Lynch injured see another defender move forward? Samson Ryan will be $155k with better JS and potential for scoring upside.
