Think I'll hold Day for the 2 weeks, should've been just the one considering what Rohan got.

Dropping Doc down to someone like McVee/Young and upgrading Hopper > Oliver, was going to use Setterfield and Ashcroft next week along with Williams to get Oliver but I think I'll go a week early. Day out will mean fielding 4 rookies in defence plus McKenna for a week, Sheezel can go back next week and I'll probably (finally) try and get Daicos next week too with Setterfield being the vehicle for that.

Or just get Daicos this week and Oliver next week? I'm pretty suss on Ross the boss sending a hard tag to Daicos, would be the 1st coach this year to employ the tactic though.

Richmond Injury Report: Round 5, 2023

Get the latest injury update ahead of Friday night's clash with Sydney at Adelaide Oval.

Tom Lynch, foot (long-term)

"Unfortunately, Tom suffered a foot fracture during the second quarter on Saturday and it required surgery. He had that last night and from all reports, it went really well. We'll know more when he gets back to the Club, but it's looking like more long-term than short."

Toby Nankervis, ankle (medium-term)

"Unfortunately on Saturday, Toby suffered an ankle injury. He was pretty tough to play out the game. Today, the extent of the injury revealed that he requires surgery. We're hoping it will be more on the medium-term."

Jack Graham, hamstring (short-term)

"Jack's unfortunately hurt himself. It's more on the lighter side and we're hoping that it's a short-term injury and it will turn around pretty quickly."

Robbie Tarrant, hip (indefinite)

"Unfortunately for Robbie, he's battling away with his hip. At the moment, we're going to say this is more of an indefinite injury and we're going to take some time to assess where it's at, get him going again and hopefully we'll see him later in the year."

Bigoa Nyuon ankle, (short-term)

"He hurt himself in the VFL, there were a few injuries there. It's settled okay, it's pretty swollen and we're hoping when the swelling comes down it's more of a short-term issue."

Kaelan Bradtke, hand (short-term)

"Kaelan's had to have surgery today on his hand and is probably going to miss two to three weeks on the short-term."

Jayden Short, calf (short-term)

"He's going really well... We think that he'll probably be available next week. He'll miss this week and we'll make sure he's right for the rest of the year."

Tom Brown, wrist (medium-term)

"He had surgery last week and it went really well. We're hoping to get him involved in the next couple of weeks and we'll see him in the medium-term."

Ivan Soldo, foot (short-medium term)

"Ivan's battling a little bit of plantar fasciitis and it's starting to turn the corner. We're hoping it will be a short-term issue."

Don’t really get the love for Day. At 454k he needs to be a keeper or at worst a sideways on his bye (RD 14). I can’t see him averaging any higher than 100 from here. Am I missing something?
Day was always a midfielder in junior days and this is the first year he has been played in his correct role…Is a tough player and now has the engine and body to match so I can see him holding his scoring…
my only query is his durability…he has had several serious injuries in his first couple of years…

if he holds it together he is definately a keeper

If he could average 100 @ 450k then I'll take that every day of the week.
If you take out his 1st game (which I'm happy to do) where he had 7 ineffective disposals and no clearances, then look at his clearance numbers and tackles then he's on an upward trajectory, I watched the game on the weekend and his work was exceptional, obviously tailed off in the 2nd half when the team got smashed but he still scored well with the tackles he got.

Averaging 114 taking out that 1st game.

Seeing lots considering Stewart…

Ryan similar price and 4th highest scorer to date overall…

Is there a reason people are avoiding bringing in Luke Ryan instead?

Last 8 games 2022 scored 7 times 100 or more averaging 115.
This year averaging 127 over first 4 rounds….
He is scoring well although inflated by the 171, guess the worry is that he'll get the lockdown role at some point, I had him a while back and it was a problem then. Reckon he'd be a good POD though.
Just had a look and I'm $100 short of doing a straight swap.
