I've definitely been watching too much of the FIDE World Chess Championship as I'm sitting here on my couch thinking I'm calculating like Ding Liren.

Round 5.
OUT: Cole, Worpel, Hopper
IN: Stewart, Pickett, JVR

Boost this week was to save me 15k based on estimated scoring.

Round 6.
OUT: Ashcroft, Ginbey
IN: Sinclair, Williams

Round 7.
OUT: Mackenzie, Chandler
IN: Day, Rookie

All of these calculations, trades and cash in the bank, would work based on estimated price rise predictions ... Until Mackenzie was named sub & now there's a spanner in the works if he throws a 40 score this week

I also will have to have DPP swings everywhere, like JHF & Rozee in the mids, as I wait on rookie mids to show themselves. A precarious situation I've created for myself.

A couple of weeks ago the wisdom on Constable was hold if named sub, trade if left out completely.

This round we have Mackenzie named sub and Davey left out completely, yet most people are looking to trade Mackenzie before Davey for JVR. What makes this situation different? Is Davey a genuine "managed" and walks back into the 22 next week? He hasn't set the world on fire and even if he's back it will be on Anzac day.

St Kilda's Jack Bytel...is he the most likely contender for sub this week? Can't really see Campbell or Sharman being sub but have both Bytel and Mackenzie languishing on the bench as potential subs although both at least have manageable BE's for this round.
Poor Bytel does seem a little unlucky so far...should he be moved on for JVR this round or maybe hang fire for Matt Roberts next round?

Activate your boost - don’t worry you won’t actually use it. Trade JVR out and sub back into the mid position (whoever you used initially to swing him fwd). Swap Ginbey into the midfield and trade back in Jones. Using your boost, trade Mackenzie to JVR via DPP. Once it processes you will still have your boost at hand and only one trade will be used.
Don't think I can do this because Dawson has already played. When I do what you suggest it won't allow me to do it as I'm $96k short.

I have trouble swapping Ginbey to mids mid trade too.

Don't have to do any trades, but could do this:

Chesser to JVR
Davey to Madden
Mackenzie to Pickett

Not sure how Picket will go in wet today? But next few games look good, Richmond, North, Gold Coast, Hawks.
Dunks and Cogs end up in mids this week, Chandler on field (E, Madden C)
Next week trade out 2 def rooks, Sheezel and JZ swing to defence, Cogs and Dunks back to forwards and 2 rookie mids in.

Sound feasible?

Using your boost, trading Mackenzie to Jones via Ginbey will also work. In the backend it will recognise as 2 trades not 3 (because you are trading Jones out and back in within the same round).
SuperCoach will acknowledge your two trades as:
Rampe > Dawson
Mackenzie > JVR

Easy for me - Constable is $123k and will make money with a sub score. Getting sub means he's still on the fringe and could be back in.

Mackenzie is $250k+, we know he'll be back in, but the sub score will likely stop his money growth for two to three weeks.

Davey hasn't made as much money, and if he doesn't come back in next week we'll figure it out then.

Hoping for the random spike game which gets his earning going again. Don’t expect it, and it’ll be lost on my bench anyhow.
