Wonder if many teams have planned to use Davey as the captains loophole go grab a strong captains score?
shows good job security to bring him straight back in after injury….in hindsight I should have kept him rather than trade him to johnston this week…

He wasn't injured, he was managed last round.

By far the worst trade and Captain decision/output in several years of playing SC.

I traded Reuben Ginbey and Will Setterfield to Matt Roberts and Touk Miller.

Ginbey outscored both by himself.

Yeah, I sort of got swept up. I just didn’t have a lot of time to research trades this week. I won’t mention my other choice again. If Merrett wasn’t out he would have been in my plans and May end up coming in next week for Miller.

I mean, it was such a freak set of circumstance that was so outlandishly outrageous - granted, it is a risk to trade in a player over $600k but if you're going to do it, make it a top 5, 120+ averaging mid, which Touk seemingly was. Adding to that a very soft run everything seemed ripe for the picking. Then he goes and plays a more accountable role on LDU whilst Rowell gets off the chain (I think Rowell was on 80 something just before 1/2 time) and to top it all off, he cops an injury.

I was seriously contemplating him for this reason. If I didn’t want to do a defender upgrade, he or parish were probably coming in.

I’m very lucky I’ve been on holidays, because I reckon i would have traded out a Ginbey or Ashcroft to facilitate it if I had less time to think. That would have really upset me.

Not suggesting for a a moment it was a bad call, especially with his record against North, but I am just surprised how many brought him in.

Tou Miller had 5 x 150+ scores last year, not playing a strong team at home this weekend, $38k cheaper than at start, averaged over 120 the past 2 seasons, 27yo, close to a players peak, his tackle numbers are up on this time last season, possible a top 8 Mid at season end and to tip the scales, he has a Bye 13 to help out.
