Very left field option Dawson to Day- whilst you save a tonne of cash that allows your team to upgrade quicker I think you lose points on field and Day has a poor injury history….hope I’m wrong but think he is a trap
What was his issues in 2022. Can see he was knocked out round 5, also missed games after the byes.

2021 was a fractured ankle which is maybe not injury prone. Thanks MM

Is it time to dump gulden?

For maybe a Heeney/ Cogs type.
If Gulden out is top of your list you must be doing a hell of a lot better than me!
(Not difficult to do, but yeah...)

He's 460k, it's the definition of a sideways trade and surely not one we can afford to sling around at this time of year.

I prefer the Dawson (or equiv) out strategy, possibly freeing up 200k and replacing with another genuine premium. This year with the lack of rookie $ I think that's the smarter play.

Currently:
Out: Horne-Francis and Phillipou
In: Coniglio and Mitchell

Possibility for my fourth boost to be used for a downgrade or for Horne-Francis to stay a while longer.
Boost would likely involve McKenna to Sturt/Wagner

Then Wilmot to Cincotta next round and possibly another rookie downgrade could mean the final boost used in RD8 or delay the trade until RD9 to save a boost as two premiums will likely come in for Phillips and Ashcroft (eg Sicily/Sinclair and Rozee) before the end of RD9.

Mitchell feels a bit like a trap with Will Day coming back. Hawks supporters thoughts?

Mitchell must've had a big second half/final qtr, I thought I looked at one stage and he was scoring poorly.
Day has been playing through the midfield though. I think it's worse for Long than Mitchell, but we'll wait and see.

When people are discussing trading Dawson, is there another Dawson I don't know about or are they talking about Jordan Dawson?
Jordan Dawson.
He's currently 670k or something, and feasibly you could make 150k from him down to another premo which this year is the same as culling a rookie (of which we are starting to dry up).
The idea then is that you're 'betting against' him and hoping he drops cash and can either fade him or pick him up later (like a bye slingshot trade would be ideal).

I'm not super sold on Will Day but just realised I could do Wilmot/McKenna > Mitchell/Day with exactly $0 left in the bank.
This must be a sign... right?
Cant say I am sold on Day either but Day, Coniglio, Mitchell looks better than McKenna, Miller and Cowan...well at least until the 2 minute mark of the first quarter.
