You cannot be sure of either but you can see the difference in the quality of reporting. Aunty ABC is unlikely to post a reporters guess. They want a quote from a legit source hence they quote the Crows CEO. Doesn't mean Laird will play, but they are presenting information from a stated source. Take it or leave it.
Norris meanwhile is trying to just rack up a profile on a story. Quotes no one and gives his own opinion. And confuses people in the process. When he says "Had several discussions with medical staff and coaches regarding his calf concern." Does he mean Laird was seen having discussions with medical staff or does he mean I (ie Norris) had several discussions with medical staff and I am reporting what they told me. I think he means Laird was seen talking to medical staff. Which means he probably knows very little. Hence his second tweet back tracking a bit on his first.

No government on Earth can have a major project come in on budget. To be honest, I'm not sure why they even set budgets. They're not fooling anyone.
We have a new hospital being built near us. It started with a budget of 4 billion kroner. They are only half way done, and it has already blown out to 6 billion kroner.
To give you an idea of how well this hospital has been planned.
2 years before they broke ground, they announced there was not enough money in the budget to build a kitchen in the new hospital.
Think about that. This is a 600 bed hospital, with goodness knows how many staff. How are they going to feed everyone? Outside catering? That will cost more in 2 years, than the kitchen would of cost!!!!
They patted themselves on the back, because they had forward planned a new train station that will be around 800m from the hospital....... until someone pointed out, 6 months after the hospital was started, that there was no real road infrastructure, nor bus service for the new hospital. Outside of a small "country road", there is no other way to get to and from the hospital!!! Yep, they are going to have to spend megabucks to expand that 2 or 3 kilometres of road, so it can properly service the hospital. Not planned for. Not budgeted. But they can't afford a kitchen ......
I said to my wife, this was most short sighted planning on record. Blind Freddy could see no kitchen wasn't an option. They will probably announce 5 years after it opens in 2024 (6 months behind schedule), that they will spend 3 billion kroner to add a kitchen (might have cost a quarter of that, if they just bit the bullet, and got it in the first place!!!), as outside catering is becoming too expensive. I mean that seems terribly planned, but on the general premise that there's no point, you need to plan, and you need contingencies, and there is so much that can go wrong in projects of this size that it's near I possible to predict everything.

Decided I'll swap one of my trades to LDU out to cover myself against Laird not getting up, but have been denied by my phone!
My phone has developed a dead zone across the centre of the screen, which just happens to be exactly where the confirm trade button is on the last screen. In most apps I can get around this by either rotating the screen or changing the text size, but SC doesn't appear to allow either of those. I would just do it on my laptop but I'm still at work!
I'm now locked out of that trade because the intention was to bring McKenna back in. Just watch him go 90+ now.
