Does anyone know whether Marshall will be playing this week? At this stage I am going

If Marshall isn't playing, those trades will be completely different.
I don't know but I think he will play, and even if his ankle's still sore Owens could just ruck more....seems to be able to handle it.

Thinking a bit left field.

Ashcroft > Mills
Ridley > Holmes (swing sheez back)

37k left over. Could boost Wilmot to weddle for cash next week but not sure
Don't know anything about your team or your bye set up so keep this in mind re these comments.

Mills is not playing the same role he had last year. If we knew he would go back to that then we would all be jumping on. Also unless he punches out a 130+ score this week he will fall in price and be cheaper next round.

Holmes has not shown enough yet. He has potential but other players around the same price have proven scoring.

If you have a rookie like JVR I would be offloading him before Wilmot. Wilmot churns out the 50-60 scores which is not brilliant but he nearly always gets there and he has solid JS. Not sure about Weddle JS or if he could do better than Wilmot scoring. Wilmot will have to go I suppose at some time but not if you have other "junk" to dump.

What about Ashcroft to Freoshaw and Ridley to Gulden?

Are people convinced with Atkins JS? Looking to use my last boost to get him in. Looks to be reasonably safe to have on field as well, assuming he holds his spot
I just dont think its really the time of the season for a 200k downgrade youd have to be pretty confident Atkins is going to firstly stay in the side and secondly score well enough to justify paying more over Knevitt,Weddle or Drury, not sure either of those things are met tbh, very meh on the pick personally, feels like 200k for a slightly better version of Constable really.
Lack of confidence in any other option is the only reason hes even in the conversation as an option for mine.

May be a minimal points boost but its quickly off-set by ruining upgrade cadence because you've spent up to an extra 100k on the player.

I'm in the non-Chesser ownership club but hearing he's likely to play this week.
I think I'd trust him over Weddle for JS, but looking like average scoring ability.

What's everyone else's thoughts.
You would think his JS would be okay, they need to get some games into the youth. But not sure his scoring improves much, some players just can’t find the ball. Maybe a role change, WCE people will know more
Yeah, job security highest of any rookie coming in given higher pick, injuries at WCE and just a poor side right now (and for next 5 years!).

Scoring is not strong, was only a 68 in juniors which compares to 100-130 for top players. I avoided him for that and he is injury prone in juniors as well as seniors now.

Think he is ok to bring in, not great. Better than Weddle who has shown no scoring ability to date incl preseason and has JS concerns in my view with players back over next week.

Think rookies next week on bubble may look better, tough week to downgrade. I went double down last week, no boosts left, just to take rookies whilst they were there. Will go double up this week and likely double down next week.

add Bytel as someone to watch, multiple subs player.

Is Ashcroft up to Gulden worth it? I feel like it’s a valuable trade given gulden has 7th highest average for forwards. Can’t afford Ziebell unfortunately.

Looking at Brayshaw’s numbers. He has never had a good SC/DT ratio but never a bad one. His DT numbers about the same as the last two years but his SC is way down. DT 109, SC 98.

Anybody seen why this has happened, less contested ball, kicking efficiency or CD just realising most his disposals have little impact?
Didn't you hear Longmire? His leg is distracting him, taking him down the pub, talking **** during games, shooting spitballs at him during video review, all that kind of stuff. /s

But it does seem like a combination of lower DE (3% drop on last year) and higher clanger count (up 0.5 per game), possibly due to carrying a niggle

This is enough if a reason for me to pick him this week tbh. Think I’ll also double down next week but you’d have to think he gets given every opportunity. We just need one spike score so fingers crossed!

I'm all for left field but wondering if Holmes is really viable with the plethora of fwds already outscoring him and potential for Walsh/Gawn/Trac to get DPP and DCam to return from injury 🤔 If he was 100k cheaper I could maybe see merit in the move.

I have gone back and forward, so many times this week, but at this stage, pending Marshall's fitness, I am going

Richards > Anderson
McKenna > Weddle

Just don't see Atkins providing the value that everyone is jumping onboard with, and am holding JvR for one more round to upgrade him, Chandler, or Greene to Cameron next week when he returns to cover my rucks come the bye rounds.

Should I trade Ashcroft to Oliver, or Hollands or Cowan to Brayshaw? Cowan to Brayshaw would leave me just 10k in bank.

Was thinking the same but still not 100% convinced, was Hawthorn they were playing. What was Brayshaw's injury exactly?
Hey, only just seeing this post.

He had a knee issue. I do recall them saying during the Freo vs. Hawks broadcast that Brayshaw has been playing hurt all year but is now feeling pain-free. He talks about it here.

Hopefully means he's good to trade in this week at a bargain price.
