But what is the wording and reasoning of the decision? Does mean Gleeson was wrong in his statements and rulings? The precedent set here will be important going forward for possibly many other cases.

North Melb.
So Gleeson was epically wrong from the start. What an unnecessary mess.
When is Michael Christian handing in his resignation?

What an embarrassment 🙄
I guess the MRO when citing could claim the intent (to spoil/mark) was unclear given it was somewhat clumsily executed... (maybe???)

... but surely the Tribunal should then have given a verdict that referenced rule 18.5 (suspension if the intent was not to spoil, free to play otherwise), leaving it up to Melbourne to argue the intent and the matter should have ended there.

Anyone know how long Weller is out for?
No, but

Gold Coast coach Stuart Dew confirmed Ben Ainsworth and Nick Holman will miss Round 9 due to injuries, along with Lachie Weller (AF $784k SC $502k DEF). On Weller, Dew said: “We’re just trying to settle that knee down. Little bit of swelling. That’s one we will make sure is absolutely 100% (after ACL injury last year). He’ll just be monitoring as he starts to ramp up his load how it responds.”

Is this good news or bad news for Atkins?
