Anyone watch McCluggage yesterday? Is he turning the corner as recovering fallen prem?

Really struggling to see who to bring in for hopper.

Also considering Davey to humphries... But limited cash so probably not

I only do these things roughly in my head but I had been counting on about 265k and a BE of ~100. Still a safer play to wait but if my numbers are right I am comfortable with gambling on going early, given it gets a rookie off field. If your numbers are right I'd probably agree the odds weigh more heavily against.
You are much closer to the mark, $265-268k with BE maybe 100-105.

Challenge is they may incl him in 22 and sub him off after 60-65%. Geelong and Melb coming up.

We are protected by BE to see how he goes, no recurrence of injury, timing our entry at lowest point, know that if we are going to trap capital in a $250k player he can give us what we need.

Currently subbed on and getting +60% of time in CBA's it seems, does that sustain in a full game.

Think it is good to be considering, particularly with low rookie quality, however, a $130k player could unlock a fair bit of capital in a Chandler for instance, helping 1-2 upgrades from mid pricers.

If I had chandler capital to unlock I wouldn't be in this mess!

Was thinking :-

Wilmot - > rookie
Chandler - > Mills via Gulden

But that doesn't look like happening now , $ 1,300.00 in the Bank to play with (spent all my money bringing in Oliver this round) , see what the diagnosis with Hooper is.

Going to have to get very creative
Might just be Chandler - > Berry

Leaves Baker & Wilmot as M7 & M8.

Then try and get one of them to Merrett or Neale next round.

Bench of :-

Cincotta * , Chesser *
Atkins * , Johnson , Roberts *
Madden *
Mitchell * , Berry

Need to find another downgrade or 2 to fund the final mid upgrade & Hopper (?) somehow.

Plenty of trades left , but little Bank for luxury upgrades of Day , Haynes , Hawkins etc if necessary

Who do Brisbane have out that might replace Sharp? I think Rich is the only major out they have now but could be wrong and it's not really a like for like.
Sharp is playing on the wing (Wilmot in the backline) - Brisbane have a lot of flexibility with who they drop for Rich. Bailey is playing mostly forward (very little wing), Berry mostly wing too. Answerth forward but some wing time. Ashcroft/McCluggage seem to rotate mids/wing/forward too.

Tunstill/Prior/Lyons are all behind Sharp (at the moment) but can play wing.

Lester has been great, so I am not sure how they can drop him for Rich but that would be the most likely outcome.
Otherwise Wilmot gets dropped for Rich.
Otherwise Sharp gets dropped and Wilmot moves back to the wing.

Long story short; if Rich is back this week, we will at least get an idea of what they plan to do in the short term. Otherwise a lot of guess work IMO.

Might double down this week. Hoping Hopper is fine, and will keep him for another week.

Chandler and Hopper/Wilmont to 2 from Humphrey, Sharp, Berry, and Drury.

Would leave 750/550k in the bank for double upgrade week after

There's not many good calf injuries.
Hopper has already made 1 miracle recovery from a leg injury this season.
Reckon he misses a few

I'll have a couple of questions that need to be answered first.

Hopper injury impact or soft tissue?

Laird, subbed due injury or precaution?

A large number ready to depart - Hopper, Worpel, Hollands.

Still no Oliver in the team, but need to hold fast to strategy of sticking with value and getting non-premos out of the team.

Probably just get Sicily and then will run with a M/F in the midfield for the timebeing. Maybe Cameron in consideration, although am still seething from being burned by him in Round 3 with the Darcy to Cameron trade.

Need Drury to stick! Funds are going to be tight for an upgrade.
