Is anyone else considering Jack Bytel as a downgrade option? Been the sub multiple times so very cheap price - surely he gets an opportunity in the starting 22 now …
If Steele goes out for a decent amount of time and he’s named then he’s probably gotta be considered when you match him up against the alternatives. Drury pathetic on the weekend, Sharp be gone pretty soon, Berry mediocre at best, Humphrey up and down like a bipolar teen - 0 confidence in any rookies this week.

First draft: Hopper, LDU, Chandler -> Oliver, Warner, Humphrey with $900 spare.

Can go better premo and worse rookie obviously but I have Humphrey at about -67 with clear scoring power, a 117 in his cycle for two weeks and the golden bye...

Hopefully Johnson comes back into the Freo side and maybe I'll actually be able to hold off trading for a while after that. Maybe.

Anyone considering going early on Kaine Baldwin? Looked really good down bank for Essendon. Ridley and Kelly to come back in but DAmbrosio and Hind could make way after poor games. Will wait till selection but there’s not many downgrade options out there.

Davey causing a conundrum. Projected to lose another 15K, but currently has no value anyway.
Could use him as part of a boost trade, but potential rookies to come in are looking thin.

Currently:
Out: C McKenna and J Hopper
In: B Humphrey (via Ziebell and Davey) and B Smith (via S Coniglio)

Alternative is to double downgrade to Sharp, etc with the intention of turning Chandler and Wilmot into Merrett and Neale over the coming rounds.

Anyone thinking that Drury might still be the best rookie trade-in this week? Scored like crap on the weekend but North probably can't afford to drop him with the injuries they have.

Sharp could easily go out for Rich and has the bye in the 1st week, meaning he's fairly useless from a money-making point of view. Berry is surely just a placeholder for Holman or Ainsworth and is likely out this week or next.

With question mark over Laird and Cripps available cheap in a few weeks, happy to go the discount path on Merrett. He's usually a good look after a downturn most years....

Just the 3 rookies on field now, so while I'm close to a full squad, the idea of being without Gulden and others (English, Stewart, etc) for too long scares me.....

As someone who went early on Drury, I don't regret it. That being said, I wouldn't be rushing to trade him in now (probably won't in RDT)

Few injuries for North help him. He was in the backline during Q4 so they were trying to get him into the action.

I have no interest in Berry, but would still probably take Sharp over Drury.

Time to do some research on Matt Kennedy
Reckon he's a great buy if we had unlimited trades. Can't see him being sub again (or dropped) in the short-term, has the Round 15 bye so in an ideal world would get up to $500K around that bye and could be traded out then. Can't see myself getting him, but with a BE of 73, if he was go to 90-110, would be able to re-assess next week.

I saw North supporters saying they'd like to see him play backline this week. Could help out his scoring potential.

Drury's also the cheapest of the options and has DPP which will be handy for shuffling players around during the byes. I just don't see how Sharp stays in the team and that early bye makes him less useful.

If you had 530k only for a MID or DEF premo, who?
Can't (don't want to) absorb a Rd 15 bye player.
Will be getting Merrett next week, have more logical outs who should get me there.
