As a parent you want to teach your children to do their best. I am currently 31,000 and my husband 23,000 overall. My daughter is currently 54th (with only 1 trade McEvoy to Mumford) I think we have succeeded.

I'm doing bad in SuperCoach so I take my 4 year old swimming.

This week, we have the swimming school holiday program, so I can plan my SuperCoach teams and have a coffee, while he goes swimming. That's a Plan!

Has anyone else tried the other fantasy Afl games?

I persevered with AFL Fantasy for the first three weeks but with an unworkable app, and web site almost as bad. I deleted my account. Not that any of the leagues l entered would mind, none were head to head and l dont think that was an option. They've really screwed this up.

The real dream team, if you're chasing overal in SC then you really should be playing this game.
The format and app is the same, 30 trades, scoring is old DT style and player prices differ but .....
Prize money is 40k, weekly cash prizes and only 33,300 players so your odds of winning something if your half decent are right up there.
And l'm ranked 340 atm.

Does anyone know in what universe James Frawley would be worth 800k a year? i would have thought that 500k is overs for him but 800k is just plain ludicrous. Think he'll be staying at the Dees if thats his asking price.

Well its not like anyone else at Melbourne is worth much, hence a big salary for him.

Melbourne won't be complaining, the bigger and longer the offers from other clubs the better Melbourne will be compensated.
For example Frawley leaves, Melbourne will be compensated with a draft pick straight after there first draft pick, most likely number 1, so they could get picks 1 and 2 again.

If I was Melbourne in this situation I would be pushing Frawley out the door.

Mmm because high draft picks have really helped them out in recent years.... They have a genuinely good player here and should keep him no matter what rather than rolling the dice on more kids.

Fixing their cultural issues is more important than getting pick 2. If they offer Frawley 500k and he leaves then that is fine. However, provided Frawley has a good character and works hard at training if they "shove him out the door" so they get another chance to make a poor recruiting decision with a top pick how does that help the club? Letting one of your best players leave for a reasonable price (about 500k) would set a bad precedent.

All good in theory but who on earth is going to pay him 800k, if hawks get him and pay more than 400k i'd be shocked. GWS maybe, they need an experienced body but even they need to be careful throwing too much money at an average player at best with all the kids they've got coming through.

If Melbourne get compensated with pick 2 for Frawley I will be very...angry. (Luckily there is a swear filter).
How many leg ups can they get? In a trade Frawley wouldn't even be worth a top 10 pick, let alone pick 2! Also massively disadvantages the rest of the bottom sides with there pick sliding down one spot.

Agree to a degree but there a rules in place so it's not about Melbourne getting a leg up specifically. If Frawley is a pick 2 then Ward is pick 1,2,3 lol. But as we know it's about what contract he moves for and what pick they get. So the club that makes the offer is in a way directing what the demons get.

Yep you've summed it up Zim.

Yes he may not be worth a pick 2 (which personally I don't think he is) but thats just how this free agency and compensation stuff works.

End of first round pick would probably be about right though, unless he does get $800k from a club. Does where the club finishes on the ladder come into consideration when assessing compensation picks?

They wont get Pick 2 if he goes cheap.

Ridiculous that Melbourne could get Pick 2 for Frawley and Hawthorn only got Pick 19 for Buddy.
