Thanks for your help, i think ill go with Hamling
Got Hamling in my team right now but not confident in. Waiting for round one teams announced and then I'll know whom I really running with. I want another Langdon type to emerge. Last season do not recall paying much attention to most rookies until the day teams announced and put Langdon in team that first night and on ground and was wonderfully surprised.

Just wondering if the North Melbourne supporters think Robbie Tarrant can grab and hold a spot for long enough to make some cash?
With Grima injury and Hansen doubtful, I think there's an opportunity for him to cement a spot in our defence. Has been training with the backs all pre-season and seems to be over the leg injury (http://www.nmfc.com.au/news/2015-03-12/learning-on-the-job) and has the backing of our captain (http://www.nmfc.com.au/news/2015-03-16/tarrant-a-lock).

Impressed with his game on Gunston in NAB2 (15D@93%DE,7M,83SC,64%TOG) and in NAB3, came on late in Q3 for (12D@91%DE,4M,59SC,32%TOG). Also, has averaged a goal a game over his career so can swing forward and snag a few. IF he can stay on the park and play as a third tall back, then I think you can expect an average of at least 60 with reasonable JS. At the moment, he's sitting in my team at F6.

I think Saad is the best chance at being a "Langdon" type player... but probably won't reach those heights.

Geez we were blessed all over the field with rookies last year. Langdon/McDonald/Langford/Kolodjashni in defense, Tyson/Polec/Ellis in midfield, Kennedy-Harris up front... just off the top of my head.

Out of all the mid priced rookies, I think Jedi will average the most points for the season. I can see him playing 15 games plus, but those games split across the front and back half of the season. With the byes coming later this year, this should workout nicely. (x fingers).

Yeah, last year I was very happy with Langdon, KK, Langford and McDonald. McDonald was a slow burn but his DEF/MID link with loophole agent Jay Hunt worked quite well so I kept him and traded Langdon when he maxed out. Could not have been happier.

Midfield I was happy with Tyson and Polec but not so with Ellis. I think I did not start with him and then traded in before price rise and got injured ?
Did not have JKH up forward last season. Sadly I had Rohan and McCarthy there which was a big loss.

Yes, I think Saad could be ok. I'm not expecting a Langdon type again. Just hoping. He is one of the defense rookies I got placed there until Thursday team selections.
Saw a little of GCS on weekend and the little I saw expect him to play games.

The fact that Vandenberg isn't playing for Casey has absolutely nothing to do with whether he plays round 1. He wasn't on the permission to play list because he played all of the Dees NAB Challenge games.

If he didn't train with the main group then that is a bit of a worry though.

I was very confident that he would play round 1 after his performance against the Bombers. I'm feeling a little less confident now.

But still quietly confident.
Demonland "reporting" that Vandenberg IS playing today so hopefully that is good news for round 1. Hope so as he is a big lock for me if named and not sub

I'm tossing up between Tarrant or Hogan in the forward line, or pick both and put Lambert in the mids. There are so many question marks with our rookies this year. Heeney and Anderson could be subs or the best rookies for the year? Hogan might get smashed or find his feet and be a monster? Anyone who doesn't have to corrective trade 2 or 3 or maybe even 4 rookies is going to have a great start on everyone else.

From the AFL website.
Who will step up to help in the key defensive posts?
With skipper Bob Murphy believing there is only room for one other tall next to Jordan Roughead and Dale Morris, an interesting battle looms between the club's inexperienced and so far under-performing trio of Michael Talia, Fletcher Roberts and Joel Hamling.

Even if he is picked round 1 Joel Hamling could be a donut pretty quickly.

Hambling could well be a doughnut but if you look at the games that Talia (3) and Roberts (5) played in 2014, nothing is set in stone.

You are scaring me off. I only had him in my team at moment unsighted due to hearing some decent things about him on radio last weekend. Think I will probably go some other rookie next week. I expect Talia to come back at some stage and Dale Morris will always be there too.
