I see that as a positive for Fyfe. He is so impactful with the possessions he has that he only needs to gather a couple more per game to potentially score on an Ablett-like level. I try to be as rational as possible with SC but he has rare X-factor which is hard to ignore.
I wouldn't consider him to have the class and polish of an Ablett Jnr however he his ability to win contested possessions (16.1 per game in 2014, joint 2nd in the AFL, 6.7 clearances per game, 4th in the AFL), coupled with his ability to take marks and kick goals puts him in some pretty rarefied territory. Outside of Ablett, the main types who win as much inside ball and clearances are the stoppage specialists who don't have the all round impact or versatility of Fyfe.

Does he need that many possessions to score well? Seems like a prototypical supercoach player who can score big from 25 possesions. Had only one game in the 2014 H&A season under 100 in a game where he copped a knock to the ankle.

Above shows 120+ scores since 2008 with average disposals. I'm not saying he can't do it but history suggests it's tough to get to 130 unless you are closer to 30 disposals per game. It's also not Fyfe that I'm questioning but the way Fremantle play and the evenness and maturity of the midfield group. Unless something at Fremantle changes, and there is nothing to suggest that, I expect him to return a similar or slightly lower average than this year. As a Freo supporter I hope he proves me wrong.
I don't know if the scoring has changed slightly but Ablett and Hodge in 2008 and Goddard in 2010 were good efforts. Cox had 122 from 18 disposals in 2011 but I think the rules are a bit different for a ruckman.
If you look at this years players Selwood was the most efficient for scores per disposal.
