Looking back at your weekly threads @KLo30 and it looks like they actually started naming 8 from 2018 albeit with “three to be omitted” for most of the season.

Have been looking to see if there's any more info, couldn't find anything to date.
When he nicked it earlier in the year it was a minor strain and he only sat out a week.
Guess it might be something similar this time, wasn't listed in the gameday injuries, but hard to say with much certainty.

The 3 to be omitted was an error on the Herald Sun website which wasn't rectified for around half the season.

Where do Green , Hopper , Taranto & Ward all play if they are not playing CBA ? (even now that's 1 too many)

Can't really see any of them.playing a high running W or HF role , oh wait that is maybe best suited for Kelly.

Sometimes can't play someone where they maybe best suited because of limitations on others , so comes down to team balance

I guess we have had 9 weeks of Cameron bashing about Kelly so only 14 more weeks of it to endure

Hence why I said 1 too many.

Mind you I think named sides have had no relevance for the last 10-20 years.

Even with 6-6-6 starting structure , the 6 x 3 lines naming has been obsolete.

Realistically they should just name a Forward 6 , Middle 6 & Back 6 with 4 on the bench + the medical sub but how often do they even line up like that as named ?

Another overcomplication by the AFL... The simplest way would be to just not count them in the team regardless of whether they played or not. Then the sub coming into the 22 counts as an in, the sub getting dropped counts as no change just like the rest of the emergencies. That way there would always be an even number of ins and outs, not this circus where someone goes out and no one comes in.

I don't think you need an equal number of ins and outs.

Looking to move Cox this week after getting screwed by him getting subbed on and hurting his value. This issue in the defender rookies are hard to pick.

Jones - Feel like he is the best scorer if/when he gets selected but he's missed a month odd of footy and might have to work his way in, even though he has been selected in the best 25 which is a positive. But byes are just around the corner and can't afford for him to not play.

Murray - We've seen it again and again what happens to our backline when only playing with one real KPD so it makes sense after vsing a tall ass forward line and getting pantsed that we would now try to fix that up (highsight ay?...). Talia is still 3-4 weeks off and probably the only other competition as a real second KPD. That said, we've brought Murray in twice before reverting back to Doedee/Kelly as the second tall (which hasn't worked) so it's hard to be extremely confident on his JS even though it makes sense.

Madden - Don't know a single thing about him outside of the fact he seems to have come in for a LTI so could work his way into the side - I don't know the depth Brisbane have in that area to have an opinion on what his JS is like.

Bianco - Should probably throw him in the mix, named in the 25 so he's a chance I suppose. Feel like he's been a fantasy pick for the last few years but hasn't been selected, fairly sure he had a big game in the seconds on the weekend though.

Leaning towards the first three but with Parks as my other rookie, do feel the pressure to nail this downgrade.

It's easy to say that with hindsight but you made the best choice with the information you had available at the time.

Finally will be fielding a full strength lineup for the first time this season !
I could trade Kozi to Jones for cash and upgrade Powell to anyone.
But im just going to bask in the glow and take the opportunity to not use any trades. Been forced to use 2 per week since round 3.

Cox was rested, so I expect him to play until his Bye Rd13 rest. His dual position, Def/Fwd could be very handy negotiating the Bye rounds.

Yes, PTA released an article where it said those not selected in the final side would play SANFL.
