Funny game last night. Obviously cheering for pies but also wanting Joe to kick some late goals and just fall short. I'm over the disappointment of my pies going down but feel Daniher was slightly underscored. There's 100s in him and it's not far away. He's had opportunities to go bigger in all his 3 games so far. Riding it out.
My gosh Neale will be cheap soon
Aha yeah, Supercoach turns us into monsters at times. We cheer on opposition players against our own clubs just to fulfil our dirty little fantasy sports addiction. It's the demon-monkey that each of us carry on our backs throughout the season.
Fantasy sports anonymous anyone? :p

Lots in the Grundy VC with loop camp.

Lots in the Grundy VC no loop camp,(yeah I’m in that camp)

At this stage I think I’m also in the ‘happy to have Grundy, but cash is more important camp’ camp.

I think at this stage I will proceed as normal and C on Gawn/Macrae and get Jordon and Impey for Cahill and Dow.

Anyone else going a different path and trading in a donut to get Grundy VC?

I wouldn't go out of my way to bring in a donut, depending on if you have any players likely to get dropped shortly. Good chance you get 30-50 points over whoever else you would have given the captain to at most by doing this, but that donut would also be handy for future rounds. Hopefully it's a lesson that having a donut is one of the more important players in your team though, especially early in the season where you don't have a full strength team.

If a loop hole doesn't pop up I will trade Jones => Warner instead of Caldwell => Warner this week to get the C. The only saving grace for losing Caldwell last week. So not a new donut but a change of my initial plans.

Anyone that watched last night able to tell me how DeGoey looked? Any mid time? Bit concerned with his scoring looking like he needs to kick a bag to ton up

Had him in my team pre season but obviously didn’t make the cut in round 1, going to be a nice early correction for a sharp if he doesn’t play again. Highly rated rookie last year if I recall correctly.
Think their was a lot of talk about him from last season.

Looks like the Lions have 3-4 due back so interesting if he can hold his spot and keep producing.

At least 5 new cheapies named so far for this round , pity it wasn't a few rounds later though.

I moved Sharp on last night but now have Koschitzke & Fyfe on my defence bench , so could become a concern.

I reckon he was crook, looked flat and played forward all night. Not his usual explosive self so reckon he was under the weather.
Probably caught Covid of those cheating prick lions 🤣

De Goey - Role was all over the shop, definitely had the most impact up the ground tonight but kept shanking it and undoing any good work. Just a rough night.

I'm in the same position, but with a donut option. It comes down to Caldwell. Can loop with Caldwell if I forgo Impey or Jordon, but I'm not sure I want to miss either of them!?

I guess those Captaining Gawn have a bit more luxury though with the opportunity to see Saturday and possibly Sunday teams drop and possible rookie outs, etc.

My Captain choice would be Macrae, so I have to make the decision before 4pm today .

(I remember one season a popular VC went huge and everyone who didn't have him or didn't VC him was lamenting, then a popular Captain choice came out and went bigger. Good chance that could happen with Macrae against North or Gawn against a young Ruck and unconvincing GWS.)

Addition:

With Grundy VC and Macrae an estimated 125 and Fullarton E I'd have a 500 (C on Caldwell)
With Grundy x 1 and Macrae C estimated 125 x 2 and Impey 75 I'd have 480ish

Think that decides it for me, if my estimations and calculations are right.

Thanks fellas. I'd forgotten about him being a little under the weather.
Was considering Fyfe to Heeney today and JDG to Neale in 2 weeks, but no guarantee Heeney and Neale will be a better combo so think I'll just hold on both

If a game is close, SC mostly comes second for me, I just want an Essendon win. Don't think that will be much of a problem this year though.

Interesting, didn't see him up the ground that much but his heat map has a 60/40 split with more time forward.

I have De Goey in a keeper league so keep a fairly close eye on him. He just looked off to me and there were a few times when I thought he would normally have an impact but just couldn't quite get it done.

From the naked eye I thought he spent more time forward, too much time on the outside flanks doing nothing!
