Well I’m going Dunks to Bont, so I’m not on the outer anymore with he’s inflated scores
How so?

Per Sir Swamp Thing:
30+ disposals and 3+ goals in a match in 2021
0= 524 players
1=0
2= Bontempelli

Great kick to handball ratio, good CPR, good disposal efficiency, high metres gained which possibly indicates that most of his kicks are not your typical shallow, backwards/sideways kicks and registers a lot of smothers and contested knock ons.

Bont is almost the midfield version of Lloyd in that his game style has essentially broken the scoring system so that even when he plays badly or has little impact, like tonight, he ends up with exceptional ratios and of course when he does play well (which is often) he scores extremely well.

He's an absolute gun though so not meant as an insult to him, just that his game perfectly fits the SC scoring system so that I think it probably elevates him even higher than his actual level.

To an extent Macrae, who I personally think is a fair bit better player, is pretty much the opposite. Oddly enough they're a pair of players that I actually think the DT scoring system better reflects their ability/impact for mine. Not many situations where I'd say that (Lloyd has broken both systems for example).

Not sure why people pick Josh Dunkley , misses so many games each season he is just injury prone.....oh wait maybe that only applies to selected players 😉

Damn now I have to trade Dunkley out , maybe a avenue to Heeney or a premium ruck
To be fair, it was absolutely mentioned multiple times as his biggest negative also. As much as you don't think durability matters both Dunkley and Heeney are classic examples of guys with really bad durability records sadly not being able to change that.

The stark difference between Heeney and Dunkley of course is that Dunkley was a proven 120+ scorer priced in the 90s and Heeney was a 94 guy priced at slightly below that. Dunkley was more akin to the Ablett or Fyfe types where you pray they don't get hurt knowing they're so much better than the rest if they don't.

Doesn't change that injuries suck and no one wants them but there are clearly certain players that find them.

I am confused

17 forward eligible players averaging 90+ coming into this round

how are their a lack of options ?

might be a great opportunity not to pick "brand" names for once
Seems like a really good opportunity to ease yourself into one or more traps from where I sit.

To me it looks a bit like this. If I have one of these wrong happy to be corrected.

Dunkley We assume injured
Walker If you have missed the boat no time to get on now.
Ziebell Most wold have him I think but too late ot get on now
Martin On holidays last 3 weeks but is a prospect in a week or two
Butters Injured
Finlayson Just scored a 54
Impey As discussed, the boat has sailed. Well done to those that got him early
Greene The thug is a possibility
Sam Reid Struggles to stay on the park and his ave in past years says no
Hayward Only played one game. Cannot have
B Dale Current ave is the best it has ever been. But previous 6 seasons says it will not stick
Zorko is a real prospect
Wingard Unreliable and a burn man
T Mac Has shown 90 ish form in previous seasons. Can he repeat?
Hind On the way up this season but again has the boat sailed
KKP Has he taken personal leave again- not sure?
Naughton Maybe but gets moved around. If he stays forward and WB can deliver to the fwd line could be okay.

For mine maybe three possibilities at most. And none even remotely close to Dunkley.

4c / 548

Flynn was rubbish after decent start.
Will take Scott 66 from bench.

If Dunks out for a while maybe upgrade Flynn to Grundy and downgrade Dunks.
Wanted to downgrade Berry and upgrade Gulden.

I guess it might depend on how long people hold the likes of Walker , Ziebell , Impey & Hind.

Greene & Wingard will be risky too many.

Do Marshall & Sidebottom return to form ?

Look at Dixon or Hawkins for example.

All we need is for Brown to reappear and punch out back to back 💯's.

Be good to see some different names though which appeared a very easy line to predict at the start of the season.

If Dunkley is gone for the season it won't really matter now as we have to trade him out.

No one probably matches his output but lots of options their.

Dixon , Hawkins , Heeney , Marshall , Sidebottom etc all might be possible options.
