Trades made: Neale & Campbell > Macrae Snr & Farrar
Heroes: JKelly & Grundy
Villains: Laird, Cripps & Gawn
Comments: Have yet to add to my 12 starting Keeper count and have carried at least one Keeper on the bench every round, Dusty & Ryan warming up the pine for the week. Positive is that my team has halted the slide and is now in a holding pattern. Backing in my conservative & patient approach to get me a respectable finish in the end, 4-digit rank instead of 5.
Intended Trades: Aiming to hold onto the 1st batch of Rookie up until their bye unless they are dropped. Any Rookie DG's I make will need to have strong JS through the MBRs, not always easily identifiable but they would need to have a clear define role and not just filling in for another player.

Trades made: Dunkley & Flynn to Grundy & Macrae jnr
Heroes: Short, Oliver, Powell, Grundy, Ziebell, JKelly (finally), Stewart, Daniher.
Villains: GAWN AS C !!! , Degoey (yup i still have him  ), Tex
Comments: Decided to Punt Flynn as i was $100 short being able to punt Hunter and get Grundy and Macrae jnr, hindsight maybe i should have just grabbed Frederick from port :cautious:.
Was away camping and missed putting the VC on new recruit Grundy so it was still on Bont but that was ok Gawn can get over 107 .
Overall im still happy how the team is tracking and after this week i will be fielding 3 rookies (although Degoey may as well be a rookie:mad:) well 3 rookies if no issues to my keepers.
Intended Trades: Gulden and Berry on the block for probably Lloyd and Frederick

Trades made: Neale, Dunkley Out, Mills,Sidey

Heroes: H.Clark, T.Hickey,T.Taranto,Jordon, Stewart, Mills
Villains: Gawn (C) , Injuries

Comments:
Continue to burn trades to cover injuries. Hickey's inclusion meant I did not bring in Grundy.
It was Bolton or Sidebottom. Of course I went Sidey (85) but not too bad.
Pocketed some cash which can assist in rebuilding my injury decimated team.
Cannot complain with Hickeys return and new recruit Mills.

Intended Trades:
OUT: Chappy & Clark
IN: Two premo defenders maybe?
Not sure just yet.

Trades made: Out - Dunks & Gulden In - Bont & Dev Robertson
Heroes: Grundy, Short, Stewart, Walsh, Oliver, Macrae, Bont, Merrett, Powell, Jordon, Ziegull
Villains: Gawn (C) & ME for stuffing up the C loop and ending up with Gawn
Comments: Poor coaching performance this week lost me around 80 points on my Captain. Also lost a few points on rookie roulette, but I think my coaching was sound there and also happy enough with my trades. Disappointed to lose both PL and Cashy, but only dropped 744 places, so not as bad as it could have been as Par seems to have been relatively low this week.
On a positive note, no injuries this week (that I know of) and hopefully should get a refreshed Dusty back off the bench for next week
Intended Trades: Paint the fence this week with probably Frederick in for Chapman and then probably a Premo mid (yet to be decided who)

Trades Made: Dunks/Campbell >> Oliver/Frederick (Friday prior to heading out of range)
Intended Trades: Gulden/Chapman >> Marshall/RCD
Comments: Was away all weekend out of range so a retro set and forget for me again. Captain/VC set-up was Grundy into Gawn, shame I couldn't loop Grundy's score so ended up with Gawn as Captain. so did myself a mischief of around 80 points. Haven't seen any news regarding injuries or performances so no idea who in trades tbh but at this stage with a quick look, possibly Rowan Marshall and RCD in for a couple of rookie cows like Chapman and Gulden.

Trades made: Neale & Gulden to McLuggage & Mills
Points lost: D 18, M 7, R 0, F 0, C 0, = Total 25
Heroes: Grundy(C), McLuggage, Oliver, Short, Stewart, Daniher, Ziebell, Mills
Villains: Gawn, Cripps, Laird and only two on field rookies who went less than 50 this week
Comments: Great to not only bounce back from last weeks debacle, but to be ranked 1,700 places higher than I was the week before it, proves its not worth letting one week get us down! Really happy that my two trade ins both hit the tonne, so hopefully they can both keep doing it. Team still has a few issues that probably need attention sooner rather later, particularly the one Crippsling my team week after week.
Intended Trades: Potentially bring Frederick in for Chapman, but would prefer a bit more cash in hand from the trade. If Highmore gets named, I may let Frederick slide. However, I might open the trapdoor on Cripps, though undecided which top line player I would replace him with as I now need to be taking note of the byes effect on my team.

Team value: $11,881
Trades made: Dunks to Bont and Neale to Oliver
Heroes: Stewart, Walsh, Oliver, Grundy and Ziebell (its a short list this week)
Villains: Ryan (for being a late out), Ridley, Laird, Berry, Gawn, Impey and Rowe (why am I still playing him on-field)
Comments: Ryan out was a big loss, as it cost me a donut. Even with the two trades I was going to be wearing a donut as none of my bench was playing. Playing so many rooks is really costing me, and with no DEF bench I am exposed. Really need some of my bench to start making money as otherwise I won't be having an upgrade season. The decisions to trade both Jordan and Kosi have really hurt me in both points and dollar creation. Really like the Premo's I have, as they are true Premo's but the constant injuries are exposing too many rookies on-field.
Intended Trades: Frederick to come in, ideally for Chapman if Ryan gets up, but if not and Chapman plays I may need a warm body, so may need to trade Lachie Jones or Highmore. Or other option could be to trade Ryan (if out) to May and pocket some coin for an upgrade. Hate to trade out a premo for a one week injury though, but I don't intend to wear a donut for the third straight week. RANT Over!

Trades made: Dunks to DRobertson, Gulden to Petracca
Heroes: Stewart, Walsh, Oliver, Grundy and Ziebell (its a short list this week)
Villains: Petracca, Gawn, Impey and me for keeping Gawn as Capt, to shadow my league opponent rather than taking Grundy's VC score
Comments: Oh well, it was a horror week, dust yourself and move on. Don't be an idiot with your VC score again!!!
Intended Trades: Frederick to come in for Chapman, and Rowe for Greene. Ideally I would like Dale but that would make 9 round 13 bye premos, so TobyFG it is. Not willing touch anyone else at this stage.

Comments: Easter celebrations so missed most football this weekend (just a well). Nothing to add other than it was my worst round to date. Captain Gawn a killer. Forward line needs to be fixed.

Comments: Another poor week , lots of injuries under performing players , but theres always next round , only won 4/6 leagues this week to so have to get back to winning there as well.
But it could be worse my beloved Pies could be on the bottom after this round so then it's all over.

Comments: A maybe week - if I had maybe VC'd Grundy then maybe I would have scored well and maybe won my PL match. Maybe all that didn't happen.

Choice to chose on trades this rd, one up and one down but who to

Trades made: Dunks to Grundy and Dusty to Freoshaw
Heroes: Ziebell, VC Grundy, Tex for finally reverting to the mean, Impey for finally scoring where I thought he'd score, CJ for finally scoring where I thought he'd score, Stewart, Daniel!, Walsh, Jelly!, Leon Cameron for pulling his head out of his arse and playing Jelly in one of his best spots, Powell, JordOn, Gawn for a terribad Captain score for those who went with him.
Villains: Gawn, Ridley, Laird,
Comments: Finally the players with purple patches I dont have in my team have a quiet one, but it is seeming too little too late. Trade in Grundy saluted with the VC, meaning I dodged the Gawn C bullet. Still just trucking along.
Intended Trades: Frederick to come in, ideally for Chapman and I think I'm a Highmore lifer. Need to start shoring up the forward line, the downside of not having Impey and/or Walker. Maybe Guldan out for Zorko? Not much to love in the forwards.......

Quick update before it gets too late!

3B507FD0-8D61-40A5-B548-5E4A6AC2A763.jpeg
Trades made: Gulden/Dunkley to Sidey/Zorko
Trades planned: Chappy/Rowe to Frederick/RCD
Comments: Finally was good to go up slightly in the rankings after some disappointing weeks. Sidey and Zorko both a little underwhelming but hoping they can put in some hundreds to repay the faith. Need Cripps to stop scoring 60s but was happy to see Taranto show some great scoring potential (and a decent SC/DT ratio). Daniher in some great form too after getting a second ruck role (hoping he can be a sneaky 85-90 player).

Life continues to be a struggle in the classic SC format without Powell, Jordon or Kosi, esp after trading out the latter two (can everyone please cash these guys out in the next two weeks :p). Some creative trading plans have been needed to navigate my dillemmas of being stuck with poorer rookies, hoping Frederick and RCD can hold the ship steady whilst I generate cash a bit more slowly to upgrade those positions.

Enjoying perhaps focusing more on the SC draft formats this season. Hopefully can turn things around with some better trading as finals prospects in my leagues are slipping away slowly...!
