Gee, I honestly had Melbourne tipped as most likely to win the whole thing - their best has been better than the rest for two years and I thought they would bring it in finals.

Guess they didn't.

Can't help but think we all got sucked in by them, had a very average 2nd half of the season when you look at the raw numbers.

I don't disagree at all.

It's hard to be dominant for two full seasons without a flat spot but after dispatching the Lions in R23 they really did look like they had bounced back ready for finals.

Lions midfielder Jarrod Berry has been offered a one-game ban for making contact with the eye region of Melbourne star Clayton Oliver on Friday night.

On Saturday, the Match Review Officer (MRO) charged Berry with making "unreasonable or unnecessary contact to the eye region" of Oliver.

It was graded as intentional conduct, low impact and high contact.

Wow surprised at that decision Stating it intentional when Oliver was on top of him and the agressor…
no doubt about the impact to the face being minor but intentional?

I think Brisbane should challenge, Oliver had his full weight on him and arm across his throat.
