Guessing you're not taking him? Wait so why does he have close to 40% ownership?

Anyone else from WCE that can make decent cash and is below $120k?
we are starved for cash and he is a playing 102k rookie. Upside will be if Darling doesnt recover in time, tendon issue.

Considering will brodie and dixon vs preuss and mcentree. Prefer preuss and brodie just short of money.

Whats the talk on Ward, calf awareness?

Do we have a view on soliguo, esrly talk was positive, has his JS lifted?

Interesting if MacDonald is named.

3 X $ 117 bench options

Field both Ward & D Stephens + Neale , Berry , JHF & Daicos = 6

Allows 2 ultra mid premiums , discard Cripps & Rowell altogether.

What is the JS & scoring potential of the 3 cheapies like though ?

Entire structure could change completely.

Do we now need 5 $ 200-300k forwards or load up ?

Macrae , Neale , Cripps , Berry , JHF , Daicos , Ward , D Stephens

Only really gives

3-Sicily-4
Grawndy
Dunkley-Heeney, Butters , Cogs -4

$288k to upgrade a Brodie , Curnow , McGovern , Xerri price type (jump on English Round 3 if he backs it up)

That midfield looks to weak though

Yep. Hough, Soligo and McDonald might be a decent bench for 6 or 7 weeks and would be preferred over, Curnow, McGovern, Chapman, Gibcus etc. Still makes the backline a difficult spot to fill but it's not just mid rookie v mid rookie. Allows another piece of KFC somewhere.

Or all vanish after 2-3 games , Ward & D Stephens suddenly miss and could be in deep ****.

Interesting having a quick look at it , get extra $ but my team actually looks worse.

Hard to compare $ 117k players to Chapman 🤔

I guess it comes down to how many of Chapman , Curnow , McGovern you can upgrade , based on my quick look you can get a acurnow , McGovern up to a $ 470-500k forward

Is Baldwin likely to be a low production young KPF type? What sort of average are we expecting? All I need is 55 from him, is that achievable over 6-7 weeks?
It's a really hard call with our forward line. It is possible, but I'd it could go either way. He's done the hard yards to get there for a Round 1 spot. I'll do a bit more research. You'd think Durdin's JS is better just because of the mess our forward line can be. Then again, Baldwin could be a piece, or the piece of the puzzle, he was pretty hyped. If we're playing him round 1, you'd think we'd back him in, like we did with Cox, Jones et al. last year, and he probably would have played last year if not for injury (came in with Waterman).

These stats are pretty impressive, but probably a grain of salt required:

"After averaging 21.8 disposals, 9.6 marks and 2.8 goals in a dominant under-16s campaign in 2018, South Australia’s under-18 state academy program manager Tony Bamford suggested Baldwin was “the best key forward in his age group”."

With his TOG (80%) in the preseason game against St.K. you'd reckon he'd be around the mark your looking for. Screen Shot 2022-03-17 at 10.38.43 am.png

The caveat is I don't know much about Durdin...

I think it's valid. Lot of coaches are taking picks in the backline they don't like when there might now be better cash cows on other lines.
Fair enough , I guess it is then onfield v bench and what you do with the extra $ , so the equation grows and grows.

Neale + Berry + 6 rookies and load up the defence.

I guess if Ward & Stephens are on benches weigh up whether they score more than Hinge , Gibcus , McCartin etc

Easy to adjust structures

I have no idea who to pick out of Soligo vs Hough vs MacDonald and only have room for one. Seems like a pick a name out of a hat and hope for the best situation.
MacDonald has the higher scoring potential looking at his scores in the junior ranks by far.

Hough would have the best job security.

Soligo I fear could be straight out the door as soon as Laird is fit.

People sleeping on McEntee, I think his only competition is Motlop for his spot. Tom Rockliff wrote an article about Port and reckons he'll be given a decent run for what it's worth.

McEntee locked into the forward bench for me. MacDonald vs Hough vs Soligo is for my last midfield bench spot. I could take two but not overly keen on any of them, so happy to go with an expensive bench of Stephens and Ward + 1 more.
