Sounds like a lot of conditions for a player with an upside of 95 even as a full time midfielder.

Yep I am dreaming that Tay Tay & JDG play all 22 , how nice it would be if we actually had a settled 22 for the year.

That is true, Tay Tay actually has the potential to be a top 8 midfielder, but that injury history... 2 full seasons in 10 years

Back to Cookie cutter midfield (actually had Miller instead of Rowell , so now the option is to keep Tuk Tuk or start Rowell & a Heeney/Butters type instead of say Brodie or Xerri)

Defence is now :-

Short , Ridley , Whitfield , Sicily , Hewett + 3

3 players can change entire structure

Key to starting sides/structures this season is defender rookies

Funny thing is though :-

Steele/Miller back to Rowell
easily upgrades Hewett & Blakey

key is how many onfield defender rookies we all trust (and how long they last)

I don't trust any of them tbh which is why I'm trying to limit them to three.

FWIW Hewett is currently D6 in my team.

Have you contemplated a two premo (Macrae/Steele/Touk etc and Neale) midfield? Really helps fill out the other lines and gets D. Stephens on field. Conversely, two mid premos looks bare.

I haven't had to make too many sacrifices, which is why I'm likely the current structure.

My worst on-field rookie atm is Ward/Rachelle. I'm not too comfortable with English over Gawn in the ruck, but that's about it.

Bench players all seem likely for round 1, and have 82k in the bank to make adjustments accordingly.

I can go :-

Macrae , Miller , Neale , Cripps , Berry , JHF , Daicos , Ward

But then I am Dunkley + 5 X $ 200-300k up forward if I go 5-0-3 in defence.

I think i am going to bank cash and see what eventuates with these expensive rookies.
I just feel it is too risky to go all in and have no cash left to make the early trades on rookies who fail to fire or do not take

Totally agree , just need to wait for teams , then workout who is missing from Best 22 and how good a JS the rookie has.

Skinner possibly instead of McKenzie for Clurey.

They could play all 3 of Aliir , McKenzie & Skinner especially against the 🦁

I'd have Rowell in there. This is not what I'm going with but if you want to stack your backs (and also potentially avoid some of the fwd mid pricers), going down a premo in the mids will allow for it.

Seriously though it does become a question if you want Cripps & Rowell or none/one/both and then if you want the likes of Ward & Stephens onfield or not.

Macrae , Neale , Berry , JHF , Daicos always seem to be the constants.
