Hey, anyone can bag Fan Footy over just about anything these days and I'll back them up.
But the one thing that has been very useful all along is the live scoring for SC (y)
Totally agree ... have been using that site for live scores way longer then I've been a member of this site ....
- unlikely to change anytime soon ...

I think he might have a potentially decent insurance role as the "swingman" .... but got to work with me here ...

- McGovern came off with possible Hammy tightness and didn't run out the match ...
- Durdin had a shin knock and didn't play but apparently should be fine for round 1....
- Curnow got a knee knock and didn't play but apparently should be fine for round 1....

- Kemp didn't play but was apparently managed and right to go ...

Think he is ahead of Boyd for flexibility ... and possibly could stay even when Doc comes back ....

- Damm hard team to read .... think I'll take him if named ...
Boyd is playing the lockdown back role, Plowman’s role, but is Plowman out of favour or just limited minutes not sure. Plowman takes Martin when he drifts forward, don’t think Boyd can handle Martin. Imo Plowman is well ahead of Boyd, but what Voss is thinking who really knows.

Doch doesn’t really defend so not really a problem for Boyd, if Doch plays can see him playing defensive wing and replace Setterfield.

Kemp won’t take Boyd’s or Durdin‘s place, but right in the mix if McGovern or Curnow don’t play.

Yeah agree, but if another site does live SC scores will be trying that for sure. Can’t believe someone hasn’t taken the opportunity to do live SC scores as just needs to do it better than fanfooty and will get a lot of traffic.

But will always have a soft spot for mOnty and all his Butt and Cox jokes.

Footyinfo app does them too. Seems to be a bit more reliable than Fan Footy.

Was there any clarification on Gov’s hamstring tightness/ any more info?

Plowman played a full VFL game in the morning of the AAMI game. He then played 74% of the AAMI game that night as a forward.

Give it time - but seriously - @Impromptu and I go way back - remember the year when he won and we won the league and we had a big piss up in Melbourne to celebrate and I flew down and you couldn't be fuked!!! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: - you should be banned for that!
Perth is a long way away and probably had a broken bone at the time😎

Fanfooty has him at 74% but I’m sure he just came on in the last quarter to fill a position, we played with only 17 on field late in that game after McGovern came off. But yeah haven’t really got a read on Plowman since Voss has taken charge.

Kemp is definitely ahead of Boyd, problem with him is he's good in multiple roles, if he's playing as a defender then he's on field startable. He was used as a forward in the first praccy game but McKay was an out.
I really struggle to fit him in to the 22, he makes an awful lot of sense as the sub though given he can play tall or even midfield roles.

He's definitely not ahead of Curnow and McKay forward or McGovern and Weitering down back. So he's then against OMc and Young for the final tall spot, I'd say both should be ahead of him at this point.

Up forward you've got Silvagni and TDK, who both can ruck which to me puts them both clearly ahead also.

With Silvagni, McGovern and Curnow all being super injury prone guys it does make sense to have cover for them.

Plowman is a spud, I've got no idea what he had on Teague all those years but I can't believe he kept getting a game. Him playing forward probably says where he's at, imo, on the pecking order down back. He'd be well behind Kemp and the other 4 as a KP guy and he's no good playing small (I mean he's no good playing big either). I'd be genuinely disappointed if Voss came in and picked him, it's very clear watching Carlton games that teams would just isolate and destroy him whenever they could.

I could understand him if he was a good ball user or intercept player but he's even weaker in those areas than he is one on one!

Funnily enough, I was actually impressed with his quick hit up forward last week though

Carlton 22 to me looks like:

B: McGovern OMc* Saad
HB: Williams Weitering Newman
C: Docherty# Cripps Cerra
HF: Fisher Curnow Martin
F: Owies McKay Silvagni*
R: Pittonet Hewett Walsh#

Int: Kennedy +3

# - Both when available, for mine LOB replaces Docherty for now and probably Setters/Newnes replaces Walsh and Cerra shifts inside.

+3 from: Durdin, Curnow, Dow, TDK, Fogarty, Kemp, Newnes, Setterfield, Philp, Honey, Stocker, Williamson and Boyd.

TDK can have a case made to play as well with Silvagni and Curnow both smaller and mobile enough to play the extra tall, TDK and McKay also agile.

Young and OMc I think is one spot and a battle.

I'd say Durdin offers something different on that bench. Williamson I think offers the most down back/wing coverage.

It's actually a pretty good amount of depth now fighting for those final couple of spots.

Love that site, the only reliable SC live scoring for 5 years or more, takes a lot of work to do that, Fri, Sat and Sun, when we are all relaxing and drinking beer. Love the player icons, some crackers in there, could probably update a few.

The in game icons, with their updates are great for seeing which players impact games and when. Very easy to spot players in form for trading/upgrading.

You confident he can get a run of games in that new role - I'm going to pin this on you that's all.
He is in my team, but first to go if I need cash. Role is very good, cheap enough to make good coin. Risks are injuries, when three talls could play more accountable and even a chance to go forward if there are injuries there.

But the dpp in six week to move him back and a bad back rookie off field has him in atm.

Plowman has been in the top 10 B&F multiple times, even 4th two years ago iirc. Hasn’t played tall often and normally plays on midsizes like Martin, Heeney, Gray and does okay but playing the best can get beaten. Gets smashed playing the small forwards but Carlton has never had a defensive small and when Stocker played the role when Plowman was injured was totally out of his depth.

But agree he has a lot of short comings, but really is just competing with Boyd as the defensive small/midsize and I would be much more comfortable with Plowman isolated with Martin in the goal square than Boyd.
