I've moved @wogitalia game review to a dedicated thread (see link below) so his efforts will not be lost amongst the myriad of posts here.

Thanks again for sharing your observations and insights right throughout the preseason and during these early rounds, I've no doubt that it has and will continue to be a vital resource to help coaches hone in on their 50/50 decisions using your eyes as their lens.

As the below thread is locked out (you cannot post directly in there), please continue to post your reviews in the round discussion thread and I'll move it in due course. Keep up the great work...(y)

Why not just put the C on Touk? If he gets 110, then you've only lost 23 points. Which hurts a lot less than the missed cash generation or wasted trade by having a non-starter.
I wouldn’t call myself a professional at this game or anything but I think people highlyyyy underestimate the benefits of a loophole not only in relation to captain but also rookies

I always carry around Atleast one loop aswell as often a non playing r3, and it seems to not hurt me to badly, in fact I reckon it gains me points in the long run.

The ability to loop rookies who are highly inconsistent probably is the best part
But each to there own

Just noticed that Langdon had 100% TOG, that's insane given how much ground he covers. Too bad he's mid only.
Yeah i think that's pretty unusal these days , there's some really great stats people on this site that could give some clarity to how many players don't leave the ground in the 4 Quarters , he must be super fit this season

I try to do that too and I think most hard core players would.

The big question though is whether you go into a season deliberately choosing an FD when you are, in all likelihood, going to have rookies dropped within a couple of weeks anyway. Each non-playing rookie could represent being as much as a half of a premium down come upgrade season. Yes, you can correct at round 3 but ideally, you only have 1 or fewer rookies to fix. If you have 2 to fix, you lose your right to choose. If you have 3 to fix, you have major problems.

I deliberately didn't take in a non-playing rookie this year because of COVID. The less I have to deal with at round 3 the better. Every point from the bench is going to be extra-valuable with HS protocols likely to claim a few players every week.
