Hi all,

I know there are some comments (nothing untoward or overly over the top) that the website is slow but note I cannot do anything about it.

I host the website as a hobby and I have zero experience in programming or website management (everything is self-taught via Google).

Remember this website is FREE and is not run by sponsors or anything.

If I start messing with the website it will crash and I know that I'll be one fixing it and I don't think anyone else will have time to fix the website.

I don't have the time or knowledge to fix it either.

However, I have lodge a E-Ticket to the webhosting company to see what is going on (per below).

I'll highlight there was a time that I stopped going onto my own SCS website due to the ongoing background maintenance and it makes my enjoyment of playing SuperCoach move from 100% to 20%.

wow... That escalated quickly

Reminds me of the story about the old man ruefully recounting the many meaningful things he had done during his life and the one unfortunate event that he would be remembered for... (something about a goat if I recall correctly )
That's one way to get him removed from AFL-run press conferences.

Unsure if this is the lineup that will be posted on the AFL website, but this is the lineup that was just sent to me

Macdonald now on the bench after originally being named in the forward pocket.
Maginness moves from the bench to the back flank.
How many Best 22 are missing ?

Does that mean Phillips is the sub? He's an emergency on the AFL website but 5th man on the bench in this team.

We all appreciate the institution you've created @Impromptu

If things slow down or shut down for periods of time, the only disappointment I have is the brief loss of connection with the community and knowledge you've created and enabled - but all it really means is we've got to rely on ourselves for a period of time until things are up and going again.

It's really a reflection on the great job you've done, and your character - especially with the culture of the forum. The vibe around here is a testament to you.

Please don't stress about this stuff any more than you want to or can. Or actually don't stress about it at all. Just do what you can.

To be completely honest - I love footy, but it's amplified by this place and the egalitarian and good person feeling of being involved in your forum.

WEST Coast has been dealt yet another blow ahead of round one with Liam Ryan the latest player ruled out of Sunday's clash against Gold Coast.

Ryan has been placed in the AFL health and safety protocols, joining Tim Kelly who is also in isolation.

The Eagles are already missing captain Luke Shuey, Jack Darling, Elliot Yeo, Dom Sheed, Oscar Allen, Liam Duggan, Jamie Cripps and Alex Witherden.

>> KEEP SCROLLING OR CLICK HERE TO SEE THE FULL TEAMS AND EMERGENCIES

Former Tiger and recent SSP signing Patrick Naish is a confirmed starter for his club debut, while recent top-up player Declan Mountford is among the emergencies.

The Suns will take a near full-strength side to Perth with Mabior Chol and Levi Casboult locked in for their club debuts, but there is no room for Alex Sexton in the 22.

Hawthorn has left out Tom Phillips for Sunday's clash against North Melbourne, but Changkuoth Jiath has been passed fit to play.

The rebuilding Hawks, who are without Ben McEvoy and Luke Breust, will hand debuts to Josh Ward and Connor MacDonald for Sam Mitchell's first game in charge.

>>Bring the family to the MCG for Sunday arvo footy as Hawthorn take on North Melbourne. Get there early to enjoy all the activities at the Festival of Footy live site at Yarra Park (outside the MCG). Get a family pass (2 adults and 2 juniors) from only $50*. *A ticketing agent service and handling fee may apply.

Callum Coleman-Jones has made the final cut for the Roos, joining fellow big men Todd Goldstein and Tristian Xerri in the side.

No.1 pick Jason Horne-Francis has been named on the half-forward flank, but veteran Josh Walker will miss after being placed in health and safety protocols.

Fremantle midfielder Darcy Tucker will be fit to take on Adelaide, but as revealed on Thursday, superstar skipper Nat Fyfe and gun ruckman Sean Darcy are both out.

The Crows will hand debutants to Josh Rachele and Jake Soligo, and Wayne Milera is confirmed for his first senior game since round two, 2020.

>>Plenty of great seats still available for Adelaide's first home game of the season.

Matt Crouch is also in after missing all of last year, but there is no room for Lachie Sholl.
