Hough should play off half back in an attacking role using his poise and foot skills, he's too skinny at this stage to go into the midfield where he will likely end up in a few years time.

Normally he's likely only there for the week until Witherden gets back from his suspension... But with the way our list is at the moment who knows... He could play really well and force someone else out of the team, or he could simply be needed to play due to low numbers on the track.
This is the impossible answer.

There's a genuine case that they don't name: Kelly, Ryan, Shuey, Yeo, Witherden (def) and Duggan who could all directly/indirectly alter his spot in the team. Throw in how under-developed he is and it's a hard sell on job security. He looked really good though in the preseason, class above the other guys getting games out of desperation. In a weird way, reminds me a bit of Cox, Jones or Perkins last year, doesn't look at all physically ready but demands a spot week to week with performance is definitely a possible outcome.

I think I prefer C. Stephens if he makes the Cats team at that price group but I'd say Hough vs Soligo is a pretty good battle for next up if all named.

OP really worries me in a young player like Rowell, worry he just gets sore and hits a wall, lot of players have taken years to truely shake that off.

Can he keep his position unitl RD6.?

On Naish, can you assist with the role he will play. opposite wing to Gaff.?

I think if Hough is named and there are no other alternatives you just have to take him and trust that he can hold down a position and get four price rises. If he goes at 55 he'll be $230k to $240k at the end of round 6.

With Covid starting to hit teams, I am not so sure now, that trading hard and fast early will be the way to go? Also having more than 3 players from the same team could be an issue?
The eastern states have already gone through what WCE are going through.
