They're not going to suspend one of their more marketable players for too long. You reckon some list clogger would have only gotten one week for punching someone in the jaw?

Wouldn't define Ryder as a list clogger, but still a deliberate head butt like that for only 2 weeks suspension sends the wrong message. And even after the first headbutt, he didn't make contact for his likening so he made sure to connect with the second attempt! The AFL would be thinking long and hard about appealing this decision. Agree with @Vicwood its at least 3/4 weeks, otherwise we have stepped back in time to the 70's/80's Buddy got a 1 week suspension for a face slap but a headbutt only gets 2 weeks.

I never claimed that of Ryder, was just a comment about players in general, wasn't even thinking about Ryder.
