Getting a free kick any time a Geelong player breathed on him also helped hahaha.
The first two weren't even his, the down the field was Cunningham (I think) and to be fair was there as Selwood did clobber him in the head well after he kicked it, the 2nd one should have gone to Wicks as he was closer, it was also definitely there as Blitz smacked it straight out of bounds.

The third one was a howler, clear holding the ball and got a trip instead. Definitely couldn't complain about the umpiring last night, we had a good run.

Love your work...but I'm going to go out on a limb to say that he has every chance of being the #1 forward this year!

BUY BUY BUY :D
I only see upside with him, super talent and the longer the season goes the more time hes going to spend around the footy
I will temper it the same way I always feel like I do... but the durability thing is ever present. He looks in such ripping nick (but he always does) and he had a preseason so that sure helps and I hope he just can put a season together but it does scare me!

Another Americanism that has infiltrated our vernacular.
In my defense, I do hold the passport (don't judge me!) and I have been playing American fantasy sports for like 20 odd years now so it's normal that very common terms might slip across ;)

to free up cash for Berry to Cripps, already have 80k

Gawn to English, will eventually move English forward or Ridley to Hewett?

Think Ridley scores the same as Hewett so the trade acts as just a rookie downgrade, I’m really thinking Gawn may not be the player he once was and moving him to English gives me some money back on his high price, gives me a forward for later and allows me to assess which rucks are worth picking. I’ve always thought Marshall is the best ruck to pick this year with Grundy but how he works with Ryder is a headache to imagine

Luke Jackson was just sensational tonight, solid the previous week also - really looks like Gawn is content to give the young gun more ruck mins whilst he plays a slightly lesser role.

Very tempted to go :-
Gawn > Jackson
Gov > Heeney
Owens > Xerri (via Rachele) pending Xerri’s performance tomorrow.

Would mean Xerri at F6, gets Rachele to mid bench (think he will be a bit inconsistent, would prefer him on the bench).

Will consider it more closely at the end of the round.

Considering a gawn downgrade to a jackson or english... possibly be able to move Brodie to Butters.... in fact gawn brodie to english and butters... leaves me with exactly $0. Almost a sign hahah....
But gee Jackson looks a bloody good player. Worth considering at the moment.

Thinking of going either Berry or Ward up to Cripps.
The thing is, I don't really want to cut Berry or Ward as I feel unless injured they will increase scoring and value over time.

Faded started to get used late last year on this site.

Its an equity trading term as well, when someone initially is bidding then they disappear (fade). I find financial mkt terms get used a lot in fantasy given value movements can be like the market.

some of the podcasters use "short" a player when they go underweight a player, which is probably closer to the correct use of terms.

Not too sure what to do this coming week. Hewett seems a no brainer but I also don't have Lloyd and do have Hall, Crisp, Short, Whitfield and Sicily already. Gawn > English could free up cash with whatever overperforming midpricer I want to target but I'm short on obvious options to send out. Even Berry seems underwhelming but is realistically ticking over reasonably to make that $100k-150k. A bit less than necessarily hoped for, but not a glaring issue at this stage. Curnow redeemed himself.

Gov -> Bowey via DPP looks locked

Probably need to get Rachele with second trade although I’m not sure he’s a must have or safe to field?

Probably will only do it to close down what would be a big negative POD if he goes on a scoring run given the 70 % ownership.

MAX GAWN

We need to discuss :geek:

Fading him would give most of us the cash we need to bring in a Cripps/Hewett/Heeney and to replace an onfield rookie which is always nice.

Which ruck to replace him with though?
English seems to be the popular choice on here...
Agreed MMM, Gawn is my biggest concern as his output is well down and his role looked greatly reduced last night, compared to week 1.

There are options aplenty in Marshall, English, Pruess and it leaves me enough cash to turn Brodie into Heeney and Berry into Hewett. I already have all the scoring rookies so no need to move on any of them.
