Any interest in Marshall?

The creative option if Gawn is to go whoever you think scores best this week and keep the cash to get to Gawn.

Brutal result either way.
Yeah I like Marshall but not sure I’m willing to commit to him over Darcy or Gawn for the season given Ryder still lurking.

Is Darcy Covid related? If so may just go with Hayes for a week. If injury may have to go Marshall as also have Grundy

I think you have to go Witts or Marshall and use the money to improve your team somewhere else. Unfortunate, but having that much money not doing anything hurts too much and he isn't reliable enough to play the rest of the season anyway.

The Darcy question is going to haunt us for the next 24 hours:

- Bench him for a week, start Dixon / Hayes instead?
- Bring in Marshall (and hope that he can be swapped to the FWD line after R6)?
- Another option (Witts, Naitanui, etc.)?

Grrrrrr

Darcy is out with a calf, which happens very often for guys who've got achilles issues like he's had this preseason.

I just don't know how you could hold onto him given that calves can often take 5 weeks when they're 1 week away...

Nightmare scenario though.

Was there no intel re Sean Darcy until now (too late)?
I mean he missed a game with an achilles, missed another allegedly with a sore thumb after they got hounded about the achilles and played about half the game in the one he did play.

But there was nothing indicating he was missing round one directly until he was missing today.

Right down to the fact that the AFL teams page didn't even list him as a "notable out"

ive ended up going with Marshall. Also went Lloyd to Hall and D.Stephens > Berry with the Darcy cash. Chaos in what I thought was a settled team.

I too am stuck with the Darcy issue and really don't know which way to go.

Marshall is obvious, but would really like to see what hayes does before pulling the trigger. Any help would be appreciated

Witts and grab a premium on another line to replace a mid-pricer/rookie?

Not sure if you can bench him, there's no time frame for him is there?
Don't think Nicnat is an option, he has no midfield to tap to.
If Ryder is out for long enough Marshall wont be getting dpp at round 6 (but should score well).

The issue with that is then I might be stuck with witts if I empty the bank. Freo did mention that are hopefully he and fyfe will line up next week but who knows

I’ve gone Darcy to Nic Nat. I like Naitanui as a pick and I’ve got enough money to go to Gawn/Darcy if/when I’d like.

I don't think you can take a chance on keeping Darcy. He might only miss this week but we don't know, if he's out for longer than you're stuck with Dixon/Hayes and are a premo down for multiple weeks. The relevant options left are Marshall, Nicnat, Witts, not sure if there are any other relevant ones.
