That is genuinely worse than i thought it could be. How can you start in Round 1 but Opening Round scores count for price movements, just funnels coaches into the exact same rookies and to a degree, premiums too. Best 18 for when 2 teams have a bye in 4 of the first 6 rounds. Guess rookies aren't even relevant next year since their scores will drop out early on and we'll pick the same ones anyway. If SuperCoach goes down the same path it will be a joke.

I disagree - I'd still be shocked if SC/RDT go with this approach.

I also think it's a terrible approach from AF.

I expect SC will definitely have the opening round - I'd still go with an unlimited trade approach after Round 0 for the Round 1 game.

The part I am not sure on is what they will do for the Rounds 2-6 byes... I'd very happily have it best 22, but they have shown in previous years they've had best 18 regardless of how many teams miss. I think with so many of the byes having just 2 teams missing, they shouldn't have the best 18 approach.

See what happens I guess!

Guess we'll likely find out in the next few days. I'm expecting the team picker to be available within a week or two if it is like previous years (prior to Christmas) and they'll need to sort it out prior to that.

A lot of the SC decisions seem to copy AFL Fantasy, but not all. I agree this method seems rubbish. I'll be a bit annoyed if it is how SC handle it, but I think they might. Hoping not.
