It doesn't really matter, because the teams are named after the toss. So Wood will simply be named if they bowl first, but can be subbed in if they bat first.

Points don't count for Impact Players though , so it matters a lot , not knowing if he is going to be in the starting XI each game or not.

Clearly held over from previous seasons - obviously a regular 12th man can't participate in a meaningful way for the team.

I could have sworn when I checked the Game scores they were only showing 11 for each team.

Just wait until players actually play and are not even available to select , happens every year.

No sense of adventure

It's one hell of a ride , doesn't do nothing then bowls 1 over and gets 3-4 wickets.

Constant injury dramas , will he bowl , won't he

But yes , plenty of other viable captaincy options , just hope he works tonight after Hardik let me down
