Expected Cats best 22 after yesterdays game, compared with GF team:

That 4th bench spot could easily go to Rohan / Miers / Parfitt / Menegola instead of Z Guthrie. Reckon the 3 new recruits are gonna get first crack and form will determine if they can hold their spot. Ratugolea covers for J Henry and could get half a dozen games in (and perhaps hold depending on form), not that the extent of J Henry's injury is clear

Carlton wasteful with the ball use first quarter, but kicked really well at goals. 2nd quarter Pies couldn't miss a set shot so probably evened out.
Glad it's a pre-season game, stressful otherwise

Shame NDaicos did very little, seemed everyone was locking him in... :sneaky:
(He got a little more ball in Q2 though)
They've got Hawthorn next week, so everyone can jump back on!

Carlton's 7th defender pretty unclear still, Cowan was solid, Cincotta too, but I'd still say Plowman is our safest bet early, looked good too. Marchbank didn't play today so expect he's still likely too (2 of Cowan/Cincotta/Plowman/Marchbank will play, I'd expect it to be the latter two, but will be matchup dependant for Marchbank I'd argue)

Doc's role mostly as I expected, across half back. Don't see why he'd get mid time unless one of Kennedy/Cerra/Cripps/Hewett gets injured. Was happy with Acres, such a good recruit

Didn't see Titch much first half... I'd be dismissing him, considering Collingwood's fit midfield (Adams/JDG etc) - Pendles had some CBA's, can't think of any mids that were missing so that's a little surpising as I thought his CBA time was over.

Non-fantasy wise; happy with TDK today (no Pitt) - took some good marks, McStay looked great as he did in intraclub, Cox rucking more than Cameron, I'd still expect a 50/50 split but not great for Cameron. Ed Curnow looks fit (no more mid time for him in his career, but was linking up well across half forward)

Sheezel is a gun. I don't know why people are overlooking him as a rookie choice. He's put up big junior numbers before and knows how to find the ball and kick goals.
Another terrific goal just before. Problem is the role, playing up forward he wasn't seen much in the second quarter, more of an impact player. Super impressive player already however.

NDaicos was pretty good in the second quarter I thought.

He tries to push up the ground to get involved though, which is what I like (just took a mark at half back). Can definitely see him having some early 100+ spike games to shoot his price up.
